Bhagavad Gita

[[Krishna]]: Beloved of the universe!

DATE: Day 1: Aug 22nd 2011

The greatest dimension of the happening called Krishna is love; the ability to receive and give love. I can say, the undercurrent of Krishna’s life whether he killed Kauravas or did politics with Shakuni or destroyed Sishupala or killed Kamsa or played with Gopikas or revealed this great Gita to Arjuna everything, everything, every incident, every happening every dimension he expressed, the undercurrent the connecting thread of everything is love. His romance is one expression of his love. His politics is another one expression of his love. His management is another one expression of his love. His anger is another one expression of his love and his enmity is another one expression of his love. I can say everything he expressed the base material is LOVE.

He is love incarnate; he is the beloved of the universe. I can say… most loved human being happened on the planet earth; other Gods are all may be worshipped, revered, respected. People used to be devoted but nobody is loved like Krishna. Even with Shiva you are devoted, you revere, you respect, you worship but nothing like Krishna when it comes to the question of being loved.

With so much of difficulty, so many people, so many people sacrificed so many things for the love of Krishna. From the gopikas and gopas to my Gopikas and Gopas the amount of sacrifice people have done for his love, leaving the brothers, leaving the parents, leaving the family, leaving the relatives, giving up the [[wealth]]; unimaginable sacrifices. But I tell you even if you sacrifice your very life, his one glance just in the corner of the eyes, one look is worthy.

Like the thread connecting all the flowers and making the flower as garland, if I have to find the center thread of Krishna, I can say LOVE. The story goes to say, describes, even Shakuni, because of constant remembering, unaware way when he relaxes; he used to have a deep friendly romantic connection with Krishna. When his logic is alive active...NOOOOO!!! I will see to it what is done to this fellow, but when his logic is tired because always the active logic is like two gears hitting each other without any lubrication. It is like you having a teeth in the stomach and grinding ...drrr drrr...Parapara...Naturally the irritation, the friction you can’t maintain yourself in that high friction and irritation for a long time. So you would like to come down from the high horse, you would like to come down from that continuous irritation, you would like to come down to that little relaxed space where your logic is not active all the time, you may just want to rest. Even to sleep you have to come down from that logic which works like the teeth in the stomach, eating your own intestine.

So whenever Shakuni comes down from his self destructive logic, he used to feel a very deep friendly romantic connection with Krishna, what a personality, wow…. what a grace! But immediately the moment he becomes aware, ‘no what are you thinking, you have to destroy him, you have to fight with him’, so he is again back as shakuni.

Understand Krishna was able to infuse love even in his enemies hearts...you can’t separate Krishna and love; you can’t remember Krishna without remembering love. I tell you, if you have tasted the true love, you can’t remember love without remembering Krishna. He is symbol of love. He is the brand ambassador for love. Nobody, nobody is able to again sit in his place. The whole Indian psyche still lives Krishna. I don’t want to use the word remembers Krishna, it’s too small word. Of course any word I use to remember Krishna or introduce Krishna is too small. I say still Indian psyche lives Krishna, not just remembers. I think I am going to speak more on Krishna than on Gita, this next one year, because he is the man who first set a trend that macrocosm can express in human body microcosm in a full fledged and in full bloomed way.

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide. In today’s talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, Verse 12, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) explains that each action by a super-conscious being becomes an independent intelligent entity. For example, Vishnu is a super-conscious being. His action of showering abundance becomes the independent persona of Lakshmi. Paramahamsa tells us that when we connect directly with these deities, who personify the desires we want to achieve in life, we receive swift response to our prayers.

In Bhagavad Gita, 4th chapter, Jnana Sanyasa Yoga, 12th verse -

“kanksantah karmanam siddhim yajanta iha devatah |ksipram hi manuse loke
siddhir bhavati karma-ja ||”

Translation – “Those who long for the result of an action worship with rites the divine energies, for, in this mortal world the success of an action comes immediately”

The sacred secret of this verse is every action done in the cosmos becomes independent energy. Please understand, for example Shiva cut the Brahma’s fifth head and removed his ego. That action becomes independent energy that is what is called Kaala Bhairava. Shiva killed Daksha’s head, cut his ego. That action become independent energy. That is what is called Veerabhadra. Every action of the Shiva’s energy the ultimate energy becomes one one deity. If you connect with those deities, those independent intelligent energies, many of the things which you want to achieve in life you can achieve.

Vishnu’s very action of showering blessings on the world becomes Lakshmi! Brahma’s very action of constantly sharing the wisdom becomes Saraswathi. So many of your very actions, many of the actions of the ultimate becomes independent intelligence and energy. See your actions impacts, influences only your body and may be people who are around you the close people their body and mind. But an enlightened being, an incarnation’s action even if it is small, it affects the whole universe. The simple action of enlightened being giving one boon can affect the whole world. Just on Maha Shiva Raathri day I announced – let all the good things happen, let all the negativity disappear. Now you will see the power of it. How it influences the whole world and changes the whole course of action. When an incarnation does even a small action, that very action becomes an independent intelligence. That intelligence becomes a deity. Shiva did the action of begging from the Taaraka Vana Rishis to teach them a lesson, to take their pride away. That action became Bhikshatana. Shiva destroyed a demon who was hiding as an elephant. That action became independent deity Gaja Samharamurthy. Same way in ecstasy he danced and that action became Nataraja. Shiva saved Markandeya from death and that become independent deity Kaala gala. So actions of God becomes independent intelligent. When you connect with those independent intelligence those deities, whatever you want immediately happens. Immediate results are achieved by connecting with those deities. In this world, this can be a powerful method through which you can achieve whatever you want in your life.

“kanksantah karmanam siddhim yajanta iha devatah |ksipram hi manuse loke
siddhir bhavati karma-ja ||”

Whatever result you want, worship with rites, those divine energies which are personification of those specific actions. If you want to destroy demon, then worship Gaja samhara murhty, if you want to destroy ego, then worship Kaala Bhairava, if you want to worship the fellow who is not ruling properly like Daksha Prajapati, then worship Veerabhadra….

“kanksantah karmanam siddhim”

Because in the world success immediately comes when you connect with these divine energies also. If you want wealth, connect with Lakshmi. When you connect with these deities, the success becomes very quick and immediate.

We will enter into today’s verse –

“Janma karma cha me divyam evam yaha vetti tattvataha | tyaktvaa deham punaha janma na ethi maam ethi saha Arjuna ||”

Translation – “ The one who truly experiences the divine energy in my existence and execution, having surrendered his body does not return to the human form but attains my state!

Existence and execution. If you can understand your existence should not be altered, only be experienced, your execution will become perfection. Unfullfilment, incompletion, yet to be achieved feeling should not be cherished in your existence because in your existence nothing more needs to be added, but in your action there should be so much of patience as if only that action will save your life. It is like running in desert…..i tell you execution with patience postpones even your death. In modern day many of the researches are proving people who don’t retire live long. I used to think how come one side all of them live long other side people just go off! My mother’s side all of them live long and father’s father side all will go off! Then I realized that my mother’s side and …never retire. But the other side their work itself is retirement. I tell you do not retire. Constantly go on doing something. The patience to execute makes you live. Live, live & live! Even if you feel all doors are closed for you, don’t keep quiet. Live, live, live! The moment you start feeling there is something wrong in your existence, whether you act or not, you will only be suffering, torturing others. The moment you feel your existence is more complete than any completion possible, then not it radiates not only your fulfillment but others too.

Execution with right understanding of the existence is romance with life. Every breath is romance. Every step is a romance. It is romancing with the whole life! The day I realized nothing can be done in the inner space I became enlightened. Understand your inner space is like a huge globe. What you perceive as your inner space is like …..just because this land is registered in your name, don’t think Yama will come and take it away. ….

Same way the space in your perception is in your control. Because that is chaos. It is chaos of the chaos – chaotic chaos. Realize in the inner space nothing needs to be done. In the inner space you don’t even need any sadhana or method just understanding of truths and contemplating of truths. That’s all. Blessed are those who listen to these truths from the beloved master not from the respected master. When you listen from the respected master only the fear related ideas goes inside you, with revered master –guilt related. Only with beloved everything goes inside you. Beloved won’t cheat you. th`at is why the emphasis on love and trust between Guru and disciple before the lessons start. That is why the Vedic Tradition says –

“Om Sahana Vavatu Sahanau Bhunaktu Sahaveeryam Karavavahai”

. See all these people it has crossed the respect reverence line and become if he says it is my life. That “Om Sahana Vavatu Sahanau Bhunaktu Sahaveeryam Karavavahai” has happened. Means both of them are praying to the ultimate – let both of us stay together, let both of us stay with each other till the ultimate happens. let both of us get fulfilled. Actually there is nothing for the master to get fulfilled but he enjoys the disciple’s presence he is not insensitive to it. See if none of you are here, I am not going to miss anything. I am full! But that does not mean I do not reciprocate your love. I do feel overflowing. I can give this example when you bring certain food, I may not eat that food but I enjoy your love and sincerity with which you made it. I can say it is like secret romance the corner guys. And some people bring cards, flowers as gifts. The object itself I may not be using. …but I enjoy your love and devotion.

Understand I officially declare no festivals, religious rights will be celebrated other than the rites related to Vedic tradition will be celebrated. I am going back to 60,000 year old with modern gadgets. Existence should be 60k old and execution should be as if updated yesterday. I do enjoy in the corner of my eyes. Even though there is nothing to be fulfilled for the guru, he enjoys the disciple’s presence. When the “Om Sahana Vavatu Sahanau Bhunaktu Sahaveeryam Karavavahai” happens Guru can reveal all the great sacred secret of our existence. The greatness of our sacred secret of existence is just by knowing, you realize it. Nothing more is required. (BIPGRAPHY) Once when I was young, some kind of ghost and ghost fear was put inside my head by this low level beggar sadhus. They said don’t go to cremation ground and sit with Ram Surat kumar. I thought maybe it is true. But I ran to Ram Surat kumar and asked. He said ghosts are projection of your mind. Why do you want to project and suffer. It is like you beating yourself with your hands. That’s it. that was such a strong click. After that I saw so my ghosts. Nothing happened because the “Om Sahana Vavatu Sahanau Bhunaktu Sahaveeryam Karavavahai” the feeling connection and respect that he will tell only the truth. When that was there his words became such powerful experience.

“Janma karma cha me divyam – your existence and execution. Your existence should know that you are deathless nothing more needs to be added, you are joy personified. You are more than as you are required to be for your so called fulfillment. Whatever you call as fulfillment, you are more than what you are required to be. Your feeling you are ready should not make you lazy. Your feeling you need to work constantly should not make you incomplete. That is the paradox. If you feel complete, you stop working. If you are working, you feel incomplete. You are neither incomplete, nor you should keep quiet. When you understand and click with the truth how I fell complete and go on executing. Still go on working. When you understand this, you will also achieve my state. What a straightforward instruction!.....

Life is not functioning by the ordinary logic. Ordinary logic does not will not & should not give you the restful feeling. When you start becoming honest towards your understandings about you, and towards your understandings about your life, this unique logic which is beyond logic starts developing in you. the intelligence starts developing in you. I tell you honesty is romancing with life. Honesty is nothing but romance with life, existence! The moment you understand this great truth, just your body gets surrendered and you never ever assume your body again even if it is functioning. See at the age of 22 I realized my avataric mission, I never returned to my body even though it is functioning – I assumed my state.

Today is 150th day of Bhagavad Gita discourse!

In Bhagavad G, 4th chapter, Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga, 11th verse –

Ye yathaa maam prapadyante taan tatha eva bhajaami aham | mama vartma anuvartante manushayaaha Paartha sarvashaha ||

Translation “O Paartha- son of Kunthi I cherish the people in the manner in which they approach me, for, human beings are guided completely by my course of action”

You cannot be more in sync. Whatever is happening here, almost he is talking the same thing! this word needs to be understood this sutra I cherish the people in the manner in which they approach me for human beings are completely guided by my course of action. This has many meaning – one whatever form you approach him he appears to you. If you approach him as father, he is there as father – mother, shiva, krishna ….whatever form you approach him he is there for you. That is one understanding. Second, whatever attitude with which you feel him, he will be there. He will be there.

Bhagavan is actually opening a new door. He says very clearly in whatever way you approach me, I am there. If you approach him as enemy he is there as enemy like Sisupala approached, Sakhuni approached. This is also called one bhaava virodha bhaava. …otherwise by blessing all of them I can prove to them that I am an incarnation. Now because they approached me with enmity, I have to destroy them to prove I am an incarnation. It is the same energy. It is just a word this way or that way. It is unfortunate this fellow approach with the krodha bhaava.

Ye yathaa maam prapadyante – Bhagavan is like a pure shining sun, with any prison you see that is the way you will see. So you need to understand if you see him with tremendous love he will be there responding as rasalila krishna. if you see him with tremendous insecurity he will be there as krishna approaching Sisupala. If you look at him with tremendous surrender he will be there like Krishna for Arjuna. If you see him as Guru, he will be there as Shiva teaching the Shiva sutras. Whatever way you approach him, he is there. Whatever way you look at him, he is there. I can say the whole world appears to you as you approach it. In this verse the technical terms the first term – I – maam – when Krishna says I, it means “I – the universe” I – the planet earth, I – the Krishna, I – the God, I – the ultimate self. I the Ishwara whatever meaning you can give it will match. I the ultimate self – maam prapadyante – whatever way you approach the ultimate. He says ye yathaa maam prapadyante – ye means who ever, yathaa - means whatever. Whoever approaches in whatever way, in the same way I approach them. He is giving tremendous assurance to prove. You cannot say only one path is right. God is too big to be branded and marketed in one religion, to be contained in one religion…so in whatever form, name, you approach him, he is there. I can say it is really a powerful assurance. It liberates you from millions of bondages and disturbances.

This verse is theological lesson. This verse can relieve you from so many psychological pains. Even the universe whatever way you approach, suppose I am failing, you are waiting for failure to happen. …Whatever climax you are expecting is bound to happen today or tomorrow. I am very clear Akshardham is my climax where millions of people sit and mediate and raise the consciousness of the planet.

So let your new vision be you. create. You always see the world the way you are, not the way the world is. So now, create the new world and new you. see it the way you are. If you are constantly seeing the new world, I tell you the climax will always be the way you expect. See what is climax – when you feel your life ends. If you are expecting the wrong things, your life has ended that moment. The climax is over. With right things, you reach fulfillment. Even with the world exactly what you expect that only becomes reality.

Bhagavan is very beautifully describing whatever form in which you approach me, I appear to you in that form. There is a very beautiful story in Ramadas’s life. In Varanasi a great Sadhu one Ramadas lived. Maybe 400 or 500 years before. He is from the suppressed class. He wants to take spiritual initiation and practice spirituality. But in the local area that Guru who was supposed to initiate said no I will not initiate you because then all the low class people will want it and will make it impure. Any how this Sadhu goes to another person to initiate him. He says I am not capable of initiating you. but I will give you one trick. This Guru early morning every day he goes to the Ganga. If you lie down on the steps in the dark in the early morning, he will step on you by mistake and when he slips and says Rama, rama, that is the mantra and his touch on your head is the initiation. So this guy goes and the plan is executed exactly as planned. But that fool is not filled with God’s name. see to chant God’s name especially when you suddenly slip you should be filled with God’s name. this fellow was not filled with Rama. So the moment he slipped and saw this fellow he said you buffalo you are here! But this guy was very sincere and said the word he said is the mantra. He took buffalo as the mantra. He sat in one corner and started meditating on buffalo! His sincerity and honesty, Shiva appeared in front of him in the form of huge golden buffalo and blessed him. it was such ecstatic powerful Darshan that Shiva wanted the whole world to know. When the devotion and formality criss-cross each other, then choose devotion. Not like the Gayathri initiation mistake – the spelling mistake we had yesterday. …

Finally the Shiva decided to tell the whole world he appreciates this guy and Shiva can be moved only by Bhakti not by Shakti. So on a festival day, in the temple, the main deity has to come out of the door. Suddenly the deity is stuck inside the door. This guy is sitting and watching and saw that in the form of buffalo the deity is there and it is stuck in the door because the horns are coming in the way. So he tells people just bend the deity, it will come out. They don’t understand what he is saying. Then he goes and bends the deity and it comes out. They ask him how he did it and he tells he saw the deity as buffalo and the horns were coming in the way. Then Shiva appeared and said it is not in formality but in intensity. Means in whatever form you approach, I am there for you. even the world, in whatever way you approach the world is there for you. understand this one truth God himself says whatever way you approach him, he also approaches in the same way to complete you. world also approaches you in the same way to complete you.
