Celebrating the auspicious occasion of Mahashankaranti. The Pongal Festival, means it’s season of new life, Uttarayana happening, Uttarayana Punyakala.

On this day the sun takes Uttarayana. It is on this day for the first time the sun rays came inside the garba mandir, the sanctum sanctorum in the Arunachala Temple. And since then, each year on this day sun rays worships Sri Arunachaleshwara every year.

Pongal means "overflowing," signifying abundance and prosperity. And every year we celebrate the abundance showered by the Sun God on us. With Avatar in our lives, showering abundance, each day is a happening, each day is new, each day is new, each day is Pongal.

Here the Parabrahman Paramashiva who is beyond the form and beyond even the formlessness, has incarnated in a Pratyaksha rupa - the form we can see with our naked eyes His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. When you feel what have I done to be so blessed - blessed to have someone who understands me, grants me boons and takes care. Jayanthi is celebrated as per the Vedic calendar - when the very DNA of Paramashiva, Direct descendent of Paramashiva - His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda appeared on this planet. And none other than Tiruvannamali - a place that Sadāshiva called Vishwakarma and asked him to make it. ‘Tiru Anna Malai’ means‘Revered Inaccessible Mountain’. This name was given to this town not because it was the location of a tall and mighty mountain, being more a medium-sized hillock, but because of the spiritual connotation that the place had for believers and spiritual seekers. His Divine Holiness, 293rd Guru Maha Sannidhanam of Madurai Aadheenam, Paramahamsa Nithayanada visits the the ancient Saatchinathar temple. One among the 24 Gurusthalams, it was built in the 6th century for Lord Dakshinamurthy.

The temple hails the leela of Lord Paramashiva, who radiates in this temple, when he helped an old lady merchant who was in legal trouble by standing witness for her. Hence the name Saatchinathar - Witness.

The temple also has a very special Ganesha deity. During the Krita yuga, Lord Paramashiva asked Ganesha to save the world from the great deluge. Ganesha created a well on the east side of the temple tank and channeled all the seven seas into that well, controlling the deluge and saving the world. Lord Varuna, the God of Oceans, created a deity of Lord Ganesha from sea shells and other materials obtained from the sea and worshipped him as “Pralayam Katha Vinayakar”.

On the night before Vinayaka Chathurthi, a special abhishekam with 100 kgs of honey is done to this beautiful Ganesha throughout the night. All honey that is poured during the abhishekam is absorbed by the deity. No abhishekam is performed during the rest of the year.

Every year the Cosmos celebrates again and again this grand celestial wedding of Meenakshi and Sundareshwara. Devi Kamakhya Devalaya is considered most sacred and oldest of the 51 Shakti Peethas on earth. It is the centrepiece of widely practiced, powerful Tantrik Shaktism in India. Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India, it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas: Kali, Tara, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamalatmika. Among these, Tripurasundari, Matangi and Kamala reside inside the main temple whereas the other seven reside in individual temples. His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda offered His respects to Parashakthi in the form of Devi Kamakhya in the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on 29 March 2018
