The Bharani Deepam celebration holds a unique significance, resonating with the very essence of divine manifestation and cosmic creation

The Bharani Deepam celebration holds a unique significance, resonating with the very essence of divine manifestation and cosmic creation. It unfolds during the auspicious time of Kartika masa, under the radiant influence of the Bharani Nakshatra.

In this celestial event, Paramashiva, the ultimate consciousness beyond time and space, chooses to manifest as the Jyotistambha, the all-pervasive and all-powerful shaft of light. This manifestation marks a profound declaration, where the supreme consciousness proclaims, ""Let me become many to celebrate myself."" It signifies the divine intent to explore and express itself within the dimensions of Space-Time.

The ritual at the heart of this celebration is a powerful representation of this cosmic unfolding. In the lighting of a single lamp, the bio-energy of Paramashiva is invoked, symbolizing the origin of all creation. Subsequently, as numerous lamps are ignited and placed before each deity in the temple, it ritualistically mirrors the creation of the cosmos, where Paramashiva, the ultimate source, multiplies and manifests as many.
