Original Verse
"द्विगुणं पतितं पादम् वामम् दक्षिणतोत्थितम् | कृत्वाऽन्योन्यतलस्ठं तु वीरपट्टमथोच्यते ॥ ९ ॥ "
Transliteration
"dviguṇaṁ patitaṁ pādam vāmam dakṣiṇatotthitam | kṛtvā'nyonyatalasṭhaṁ tu vīrapaṭṭamathocyate ॥ 9 ॥ "
Translation
Placing the left leg on the right thigh and keeping the right leg on a pedestal or on the floor and keeping the palms on one another. Virasana can be assumed.
Instruction
"1. Sit on a pedestal. 2. Place the left leg on the right thigh. 3. Keep the right leg on the floor and the palms on one another. "
