This sacred service (seva), performed on the day dedicated to Lord Paramashiva, was an integral part of KAILASA's commitment to reviving authentic Hindu rituals and spiritual technologies globally. The day’s events focused on offering a profound royal bath and worship (Pooja) to the Linga, invoking the divine grace of Paramashiva for the benefit and enlightenment of all humanity. Somavara Abhishekam
The Somavara Abhishekam is a potent and traditional Hindu ritual conducted specifically on Monday (Somavar), the sacred day dedicated to Paramashiva, the Adi Yogi. This powerful ceremony is recognized as a divine offering (seva) intended to please Paramashiva and attract His abundant blessings and grace for the enlightenment and liberation of all beings. The ritual performed at KAILASA Salem was a profound manifestation of devotion, adhering strictly to the ancient Hindu injunctions for worshipping the Ultimate Reality.
During this auspicious ceremony, devotees offered a detailed royal bath—known as Abhishekam—to the Linga, the symbolic representation of the ultimate formless reality, Paramashiva. The Rudrabhishekam formed a core part of the proceedings, involving the chanting of potent Vedic mantras while pouring auspicious substances over the deity. The royal bath included traditional items such as milk, yogurt, ghee, honey, and sacred ash (vibhuti), followed by fragrant waters. This continuous stream of offerings, accompanied by specific chants, acts as a powerful spiritual technology documented in the Hindu sciences, designed to purify the environment and elevate the consciousness of the participants.
