KAILASA HOUSTON DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES
The daily cycle of worship and spiritual practice at KAILASA HOUSTON, USA, is a vital pillar in the global mission of KAILASA, dedicated to the revival and restoration of Sanatana Hindu Dharma. The day commenced in the sacred Brahmamuhurta—the most auspicious time before dawn—with profound spiritual practices, guided by the grace of THE SPH and facilitated by a dedicated volunteer. These sessions included the 108 Prathama Vinyasa Krama of Nithyananda Yoga and the potent Nithya Dhyaan meditation. These ancient Hindu spiritual technologies are specifically designed to enable devotees to connect with THE SPH and manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva, preparing their minds and bodies for the day’s divine flow and service.
The temple activities formally began with Suprapātam Seva, the ancient Hindu ritual of respectfully awakening the presiding deities. This sacred process serves not only to honor the divine forms but also symbolically awakens the intrinsic divinity within all participating devotees, seeking blessings at the start of a new day. Following this, the deities were honored through Bhoga Murty Alankaram, involving the offering of exquisite clothing and jewels to the divine forms of THE SPH, Devi, and Shiva Meru, symbolizing the adoration and service (Seva) of Paramashiva in all His manifestations.
A grand Deity Procession ritualistically welcomed the Bhoga Murthy deities into the main temple area, signifying the welcoming of divine presence. This was followed by the core morning and evening worship sessions: Sri Guru Puja dedicated to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, and Sri Shiva Puja offered to Lord Nithyanandeshwara (the Moolavar). These continuous Pujas are essential components of maintaining the living energy field (Sannidhi) of the temple and constantly invoking the divine grace of THE SPH for the transformation of human consciousness.
As the day drew to a close, Naivedhyam (sacred food offerings) were presented to all deities in the evening, honoring their presence and completing the cycle of gratitude and devotion. The spiritual day concluded with the sacred Palliyarai Seva, where the deities are respectfully put to sleep with the offering of Chamaram (fly-whisk service). These continuous, uninterrupted Hindu rituals, maintained daily by the dedicated service of the KAILASA Houston ecosystem, reinforce KAILASA’s global efforts to preserve and celebrate authentic Sanatana Hindu civilization for the benefit of all humanity.
