KAILASA TRINIDAD & TOBAGO On 23/8/2024
With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA TRINIDAD & TOBAGO diligently organized the daily Nithyotsavam on August 23, 2024. This auspicious day was dedicated to the authentic revival of ancient Hindu rituals through comprehensive Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities, ensuring the continuous flow of divine grace within the Caribbean region. These sacred activities, managed by a dedicated volunteer, spanned the entire day, encompassing elaborate *Ved-Agamic* practices from the deities' awakening with Suprabatam Seva to their rest during Palliarai Sevas. The meticulous practice of Abhishekam, Guru Puja, and multiple Naivedyam offerings fulfills KAILASA's mission of reviving the enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization and enabling devotees to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.
Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities
The Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities at KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago ensure the unbroken practice of authentic *Ved-Agamic* traditions, forming the bedrock of the daily Nithyotsavam dedicated to THE SPH and the deities of the Hindu temple. A dedicated volunteer undertook the extensive schedule of morning and evening rituals, meticulously performing the sacred rites necessary to awaken the temple energy and maintain the deities' divine presence. These devoted practices are central to the mission of KAILASA in the Caribbean: the preservation of ancient indigenous traditions through the revival of the ancient enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilizational nation.
The rigorous schedule began with the morning rituals, commencing with the traditional Suprabatam Seva (waking up the deities), immediately followed by an initial Laghu Puja which included a *Naivedyam* (offering of warm sweetened milk, water, and fruit). Extensive preparation then followed for the daily Abhishekam, involving the collection of fresh water and the preparation of clothes, jewelry, and ritual vessels. The Abhishekam was performed using sacred substances such as *amla*, turmeric, and sandalwood, concluding with a subsequent *Naivedyam* offering. Following this purification rite, the deities received the Alankaram ceremony (adornment), finalized with a second Laghu Puja to complete the Abhishekam cycle. The volunteer diligently ensured all vessels were cleaned before proceeding to prepare vegetables and cook ten rice *Naivedyams*, which were then offered during a specialized Laghu Puja. The morning sevas culminated in the deeply auspicious Guru Puja, performed to invoke the divine grace and presence of THE SPH. Throughout these rituals, *Chamran fanning* was offered after each significant step, signifying profound respect and devotion.
The evening schedule was equally meticulous, beginning with the preparation and performance of the full Padhuka Puja, honoring the sacred sandals of THE SPH. The volunteer then cleaned the area and prepared the lamps for the Evening Aarti, offering a five-minute worship utilizing both oil and camphor lamps. The evening also included a *Naivedyam* offering, typically consisting of a cooked rice dish like *poha*. The final and most intimate rituals of the day, commencing at 8 PM, were the Palliarai Sevas (putting the deities to rest). This involved preparing the sacred sleeping area with mattresses, pillows, and blankets. The very last ritual, a final Laghu Puja, included an offering of warm sweetened milk and *harritakki*. The deities were then put to rest, accompanied by the playing of the *Udal* and the gentle *Oonjal* (swing) ritual, reinforced by *Chamran fanning*, ensuring they rest in comfort until the next dawn. This relentless commitment to *nithya seva* by the dedicated volunteer exemplifies the spiritual depth and dedication fostered by THE SPH for the revival of Hindu Dharma in KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago.
