Day 2 Revival of Kailasa Paramparagata Adinootana Surya vamsa Chola samratha Panchandikulam Sarvajna Peetha
The sacred observance in KAILASA Melbourne celebrated Day 2 of the Kailasa Samrajya Mahotsavam, a profound 21-day festival dedicated to recognizing and reviving the ancient spiritual and temporal kingdoms intrinsic to the identity of KAILASA. The focus of the day was the Kailasa Paramparagata Adinootana Surya vamsa Chola Samrajyam Panchandikulam Sarvajna Peetha, one of the most revered lineages within Sanatana Hindu Dharma. This glorious parampara is an unbroken line of enlightened masters tracing its origins directly from Paramashiva, continuing through figures like Sri Kandaswamy, Sri Siva Subrahmanyanda Swamigal, and Sri Swami Atmananda, culminating in THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, who serves as the inheritor and reviver of this ancient seat of learning and enlightenment.
The historical significance of this Peetha is immense. Operating from the Arunachala Jnanadesikar Temple in Panchanadikulam, and falling under the administrative jurisdiction of the Śri Kashi Vishwanatha temple in Thanjavur, the kingdom was traditionally specialized in providing housing and sustenance—the sacred service of Annadan—for devotees of Siva, particularly those visiting the Vedaranyeshwar temple in Vedaranyam, Tamil Nadu, India. Furthermore, the Pontiffs of this Peetha held the responsibility of educating, grooming, and initiating the Chola Kings, ensuring they ruled according to the methods prescribed in the sacred Hindu scriptures, thereby upholding Dharma (righteousness) in governance. This ancient role aligns perfectly with THE SPH’s modern humanitarian vision for global food security and the establishment of dharmic governance globally.
The modern revival of the Panchandikulam Sarvajna Peetha has been catalyzed entirely by the divine grace of THE SPH. Following a warm reception by the people of the Peetham in 2009, THE SPH was formally crowned as the Pontiff and inheritor on April 15, 2014, at the age of 36. Since 2015, the Sovereign Order of KAILASA has spearheaded the revival of comprehensive socio-spiritual initiatives in Panchanadikulam, ensuring the continuity of its humanitarian and spiritual functions. The celebration served as a powerful inspiration for devotees to reflect on this profound heritage and carry forward the torch of enlightenment, connecting with THE SPH to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva. The sacred ritual concluded with worship offered to THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM and the deities in KAILASA’s temples around the world.
