With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA TRINIDAD & TOBAGO dedicated 24/8/2024 to the comprehensive performance of Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities. This Nithyotsavam (daily festival) ensured the sacred flow of grace through authentic Hindu Ved-Agamic practices, serving as a powerful conduit for the divine energies and spiritual technologies gifted by THE SPH. The day involved a complete cycle of temple worship, spanning from the awakening of the deities through Suprabatam Seva to their restful slumber during Palliarai Sevas. Through the dedicated service of the Sangha, KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago reinforces the global mission of KAILASA: the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma and the preservation of ancient indigenous traditions, enabling devotees in the Caribbean region to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.

Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities

The Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities at KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago encompassed a meticulous schedule of authentic Hindu rituals, preparation, and maintenance, ensuring the temple atmosphere vibrated with the presence of Paramashiva throughout the day. The sacred services commenced in the morning with the uplifting Suprabatam Seva (waking up the deities), immediately followed by the first Laghu Puja ritual, which included a heartfelt Naivedyam offering of warm sweetened milk, water, and fresh fruit. This daily commitment to the deities is central to the revival of Hindu civilization, grounding the spiritual ecosystem in the Caribbean in pure consciousness.

A dedicated volunteer tirelessly executed the extensive preparations required for the daily Abhishekam (sacred bath). These preparations included filling water, arranging the special garments and jewelry for the deities, and setting up the necessary puja vessels. The Abhishekam itself was then performed using auspicious items like amla, turmeric, and sandalwood, concluding with a subsequent Laghu Puja and a second Naivedyam offering. Following the cleansing, the deities were adorned during the Deity Alankaram ritual. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that the Hindu spiritual technologies prescribed by the enlightened masters of the tradition are practiced with utmost reverence.

The morning schedule culminated with essential preparations for community service and the final spiritual rites. The volunteer proceeded to prepare vegetables and cooked 10 Rice Naivedyams which were then offered during a subsequent Laghu Puja. The morning services concluded with the performance of the sacred Guru Puja, honoring the presence of THE SPH as the ultimate Guru, enabling devotees to connect with the source of all enlightenment. Furthermore, the dedication extended beyond rituals to include crucial maintenance: cleanup of all dishes and puja vessels, quick checks on kitchen items, hand washing of towels, sweeping, mopping, and general temple cleaning.

The evening rituals continued the sacred flow of Nithyotsavam, commencing with the preparation for and performance of a full Padhuka Puja, reverentially honoring THE SPH's divine presence. This was followed by the preparation of lamps for the evening Aarti, a five-minute offering using both oil and camphor lamps, invoking auspiciousness and light. The evening Naivedyam was then offered, typically consisting of a cooked rice dish like poha. The day’s divine service cycle concluded at 8 pm with the extensive preparations for Palliarai Sevas (putting the deities to bed). This included preparing the sacred mattresses, pillows, and blankets. The final Laghu Puja of the day was offered, accompanied by Naivedyam of warm sweetened milk, water, and harritakki. The deities were then put to rest, accompanied by the playing of the Udal, followed by the swinging of the Oonjal and gentle chamran fanning, symbolizing the devotion and care of the Sangha toward Paramashiva and THE SPH. The single dedicated volunteer ensured the meticulous completion of all cleanup and final checks before the temple premises were securely closed, completing a full cycle of devotion and service to humanity.
