With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA TIRUVANNAMALAI SRI NITHYANANDA JANMABHUMI documented the grand Gurupoornima celebrations held on July 20th and 21st, 2024. This auspicious festival, dedicated to honoring the sacred Guru-Disciple tradition, saw intense Hindu rituals performed at THE SPH’s birthplace. The celebrations included magnificent *alankaram* (decoration) of the SPH Deities and the offering of 108 *naivedyam*. Critically, the event served as a massive humanitarian outreach initiative, distributing *Guruprasadam* (sanctified food) to nearly 17,000 *padyatries* completing the circumambulation of the sacred Arunachala hill. This dedication to spiritual purity and selfless service exemplifies KAILASA's mission of reviving the ancient enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization globally.
Gurupoornima
The Gurupoornima observance at KAILASA TIRUVANNAMALAI SRI NITHYANANDA JANMABHUMI was a profound spiritual occasion, reaffirming the indispensable role of the Guru in achieving superconscious breakthrough. The two-day celebration, held on July 20th and 21st, focused on elaborate Hindu rituals designed to express gratitude and devotion to THE SPH. A primary spiritual technology applied was the creation of a magnificent *alankaram* for the SPH Deities. This dedicated ornamentation and worship service transforms the sacred space, enabling devotees to connect with the divine grace of THE SPH and manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.
The rituals culminated with the offering of 108 distinct *naivedyam*, symbolizing the complete offering of all existence to the Guru. These intricate services were managed by a committed team, including 20 participants who performed the core rituals and 20 dedicated volunteers who ensured the seamless flow of the ceremonies. Through these practices, the Janmabhoomi served as a powerful hub for consciousness awakening, radiating the spiritual energy gifted by THE SPH to the world.
In line with THE SPH’s global humanitarian commitment, the Gurupoornima celebrations were extended through large-scale *Annadan* (food offering). The focus was on nourishing the thousands of pilgrims undertaking the strenuous *padyatra* around the sacred Arunachala hill. The efforts of KAILASA TIRUVANNAMALAI ensured that nearly 17,000 Arunachala hill *padyatries* were served wholesome, blessed *Guruprasadam*.
