DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES
The daily cycle of Nithyotsavam (daily worship) at KAILASA HOUSTON is a meticulous revival of authentic Hindu temple traditions, dedicated to the divine mission of THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. These daily activities are crucial for maintaining the energetic integrity of the temple and enabling devotees to connect with the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva. The day’s observances were diligently executed by the dedicated efforts of 2 volunteers who ensured the seamless continuity of the sacred schedule.
The sacred proceedings began during the auspicious Brahmamuhurta (pre-dawn hour) with two essential practices gifted by THE SPH: the Nithyananda Yoga practice, specifically the 108 Prathama Vinyasa Krama, and deep Nithya Dhyaan Meditation. This focus on consciousness awakening was immediately followed by the core ritualistic offerings. The day began with Suparapatam Seva, the ancient Hindu ritual for awakening the deities, which simultaneously symbolizes the awakening of the divine within every devotee and seeking blessings at the start of the new day.
Following the awakening, the deities were lovingly prepared through Bhoga Murty Alankaram, where sacred clothing and jewels were offered to THE SPH, Devi, and the Shiva Meru. A subsequent Deity Procession ritualistically welcomed the Bhoga Murthy deities into the main temple area. Central to the daily worship were the Sri Guru Puja offered directly to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, and the Sri Shiva Puja offered to the Moolavar deity, Lord Nithyanandeshwara, conducted both in the morning and evening to invoke and retain the potent spiritual energy.
The day concluded in the evening with the offering of Naivedhyam (sacred food) to all the deities. Finally, the cycle was completed through Palliyarai Seva, the sacred process of ritualistically putting the deities to rest using Chamaram (a traditional whisk). These comprehensive rituals ensure the continuous presence of Paramashiva's grace, aligning KAILASA HOUSTON with KAILASA's global vision for human consciousness awakening and the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
