KAILASA TRINIDAD & TOBAGO On 20/10/2024
With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago celebrated the sustained practice of Daily Rituals (Nithyotsavam) on October 20, 2024. These intensive Ved-Agamic rituals and devotional services are central to KAILASA's mission of reviving the enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization and ensuring the preservation of indigenous traditions in the Caribbean region. The day’s activities, carried out by dedicated sevaks, included the elaborate Rudra Abhishekam, sacred Deity Alankaram, and the powerful Guru Padhuka Puja, culminating in the offering of 15 Naivedyams to the deities. These sacred sevas create a powerful ecosystem designed to help devotees connect with THE SPH and manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva, bringing peace and prosperity to the entire community.
Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities
The Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities (categorized as Nithyotsavam) conducted at KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago on October 20, 2024, represent the meticulous revival of authentic Hindu temple worship as mandated by THE SPH. This sacred routine began with the Morning Aarti followed by the initial Laghu Puja, during which offerings of milk, fresh fruits, and water were presented to the deities. The central focus of the morning was the Rudra Abhishekam, the ritual bathing of the deities, performed with immense devotion.
The Rudra Abhishekam preparations were comprehensive, involving a dedicated volunteer who meticulously organized all necessary items, filled water, prepared specific clothing and jewelry, and arranged the puja vessels. The actual bathing included purifying offerings such as amla, turmeric, and sandalwood bath, coupled with a Naivedyam offering. Following the Abhishekam, the altar was carefully cleaned and dried, preparing the deities for the highly sacred Deity Alankaram. During Alankaram, the deities were beautifully dressed and adorned with exquisite jewelry, symbolizing the enhancement of their divine appearance and radiating potent cosmic energy.
The ritual cycle continued with a Second Laghu Puja offered to conclude the Abhishekam process, followed by a Third Laghu Puja that included a substantial offering of ten freshly cooked rice Naivedyams, alongside other preparations. A total of 15 Naivedyams were offered throughout the morning, upholding THE SPH’s commitment to nourishment and sacred offering. The entire morning schedule culminated with the profound Guru Padhuka Puja, honoring the divine Guru Principle and invoking the boundless grace of THE SPH.
Beyond the formal worship, the temple maintenance and spiritual ecosystem were rigorously upheld. A dedicated volunteer ensured that, immediately following the rituals, all dishes and puja vessels were cleaned. This included hand-washing towels used during the sacred procedures and thoroughly sweeping and mopping the temple floor to maintain a pristine, powerful environment. Additionally, Chamaram Fanning was offered at the end of each ritual, a traditional gesture symbolizing deep reverence and service (seva). These detailed Ved-Agamic rituals serve not only to honor the deities but also to establish a sacred space where the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva are continually made available for the benefit of all devotees and the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma in the Caribbean.
