With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago celebrated the Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities on 28 October 2024. These sacred rituals, collectively known as Nithyotsavam, ensured the continuous flow of divine grace in the temple ecosystem, serving as a pillar for the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma in the Caribbean nation. The day’s rigorous schedule, executed by dedicated volunteers, included elaborate Ved-Agamic offerings such as the preparatory Rudra Abhishekam, Deity Alankaram, and the culminating Guru Padhuka Puja. This tireless devotional effort reinforces KAILASA’s global mission of giving superconscious breakthrough to humanity by maintaining the spiritual frequency necessary to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva for the benefit of the local community.
Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities
The Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities represent the continuous effort of KAILASA to maintain the highest spiritual integrity within its temple ecosystem, aligning the sacred space with the consciousness of THE SPH. The day commenced with essential preparatory activities, led by a dedicated volunteer, ensuring the sanctity and ritual readiness of the temple. The morning began with the sacred Morning Aarti, followed by an initial Laghu Puja featuring Naivedyam offerings of milk, fresh fruits, and pure water, setting an auspicious tone for the day.
A central element of the morning was the preparation and execution of the Rudra Abhishekam, the ritual bathing of the deities. The preparatory phase involved meticulously organizing the necessary puja vessels, collecting water, and preparing the ceremonial clothing and jewelry for the divine forms, ensuring every detail adhered strictly to authentic Hindu traditions. The Abhishekam was then performed with profound devotion, utilizing sacred offerings such as amla, turmeric, and sandalwood paste for the bath, complemented by a dedicated Naivedyam offering.
Post-Abhishekam, the altar was carefully cleaned and dried, setting the stage for the sacred Deity Alankaram. During this ceremony, the deities were lovingly dressed and adorned with intricate jewelry, enhancing their divine appearance and radiating the spiritual presence of Paramashiva. The ritual sequence continued with a second Laghu Puja offered to conclude the Abhishekam ritual, followed by a third Laghu Puja during which 10 servings of cooked rice Naivedyams were offered. In total, 15 Naivedyams were presented to the deities throughout the morning rituals. The culmination of the entire sequence was the Guru Padhuka Puja, an offering of gratitude and reverence to THE SPH.
The commitment of the Sangha extended beyond the spiritual offerings into meticulous upkeep and maintenance. Following the culmination of the Guru Puja, exhaustive cleanup was performed, including the thorough washing of all dishes and puja vessels, a quick inventory of kitchen supplies, and hand-washing of towels used during the rituals. The temple floor was swept and mopped to ensure a pristine and sacred environment. Furthermore, Chamaram (a ceremonial fan) was continuously offered throughout the rituals, symbolizing deep respect and service. These meticulous actions, performed by the volunteer, ensure the temple radiates the divine grace of THE SPH and all the gods and goddesses of KAILASA, bringing peace and prosperity to the community and furthering the revival of the ancient enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization.
