This auspicious event, conducted as part of the daily Nithyotsavam (eternal festivals) of KAILASA, serves as a powerful demonstration of the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma. Rudrabhishekam
The performance of Rudrabhishekam at KAILASA THIRUCHENGODE is a profound Hindu ritual dedicated to Paramashiva in His fierce and powerful manifestation as Rudra. This sacred ceremony is centered around the bathing (abhishekam) of the Shiva Linga, the formless-form of the Divine, using various auspicious substances. Through the grace of THE SPH, this ritual is revived in its most authentic form, allowing the space to be charged with divine energies and enabling seekers to cleanse their inner consciousness.
The ceremony involves the rhythmic chanting of the Sri Rudram, a sacred Vedic hymn that honors the various aspects and names of the Divine. As the vibrations of these ancient mantras resonate throughout the temple, the Shiva Linga is ceremoniously bathed with panchamrita—a traditional combination of five nectar-like substances: milk, yogurt, honey, sugar, and ghee.
