Ritual Description

The Sukravara Abhishekam is a special Nithyotsavam (daily ritual) conducted on Fridays, dedicated to the elaborate worship and ritualistic bathing of the Divine Deity.

During this sacred Abhishekam, various consecrated substances are used to bathe the deity, including traditional items such as milk, honey, tender coconut water, sandalwood paste, turmeric powder, and rose water. Each offering is performed while chanting specific Vedic mantras and prayers, invoking divine blessings and grace from the cosmos.

The ritual culminates with the meticulous decoration of the deity (Alankara) and the offering of fresh flowers, fruits, and other sacred items. This profound spiritual practice is believed to purify the consciousness of the devotees, leading to the manifestation of inner peace, prosperity, and divine connection.
