The Sacred Sukravara Abhishekam
The Sukravara Abhishekam is a profound daily ritual (*Nithyotsavam*) conducted on Fridays at KAILASA SALEM, specifically dedicated to the worship of the Divine. *Abhishekam*, the ceremonial bathing of the deity, is a central practice in Hinduism, symbolizing purification and the invocation of divine energies.
During this sacred ritual, devotees utilize several *dravyas* (sacred substances) to bathe the deity, including milk, honey, tender coconut water, sandalwood paste, turmeric powder, and rose water. Each substance is offered with specific Vedic *mantras* and prayers, intended to invoke profound blessings and divine grace upon the participants.
The ritual culminates in the elaborate decoration of the deity (*alankaram*) followed by the offering of flowers, fruits, and other sacred items. This practice is traditionally believed to purify the mind and body of the devotees, leading to spiritual fulfillment, peace, and prosperity.
