On the third day of the Purvanga Utsavam or the grand opening rituals of Nithyanandotsavam, the celebration of the 45th Jayanthi, i.e. the 45th anniversary of the happening of THE Avatar, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam - the nijavatara, the 1008th incarnation of Paramashiva descended to give superconscious breakthrough to humanity. Nithyanandotsavam is being celebrated all over KAILASA - the first nation for 2 billion Hindus worldwide. Before the Brahmotsavam begins, the guardian deities of the temple are worshipped. Their blessings and protection are sought for the grand success of all the festivities.

Today, right before the first day of the Brahmotsavam, we offer our worship to Mahaganapati. Mahaganapati is the son of Paramashiva, who is always worshipped first before any festival, to root out all the vighnas - or internal and external obstacles. He symbolizes and embodies spontaneous completion celebration, who manifests on this day and blesses us to celebrate the Brahmotsavam, to make it a grand success.

Sri Chandikeshwara is one of the dearest devotees, and an important member of Paramashiva’s retinue. He is the chief accountant of Kailaasa, and ensures that all materials for the Brahmotsavam are accounted for and done on the cosmic principle of integrity. We worship him today taking his blessings for the Brahmotsavam to run with friendliness and integrity, so that all accounts and beings are in the space of completion for the Brahmotsavam celebrations.

Now we humbly seek the blessings of the Avatar, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam for the beginning of the celebration of this most auspicious happening in the cosmos, the 45th Nithyanandotsavam.
