This is your atman, mind, body. The moment you get the peer pressure, you start comparing yourself with others. Means, you are in the mind level. You identify yourself with your mind. The moment you identify yourself with this mind, you start comparing yourself with other minds, with other bodies. So you, your pressure for example: you perform 10 hours per day, they perform 20 hours per day, you get the pressure, you get the pressure.

[00:00:56]

The moment you drop, you escape, you reach the source of energy and you start performing 24 hours plus something, 24 hours plus something. And you create the pressure to them, which they can never come. They can never keep up. Simple key - drop. But as long as you keep the pressure, you will be only in the mind; because the mind is created by these pressures. By this 7 items. What? That a, the fantasies, and imagination, fear, and these are all the things which creates mind. See, it is just a boundaryless whole planet earth. The, there's, the whole planet earth is there which creates your house. Four walls, four walls, the four walls are this six problems, seven problems.

[00:02:05]

Fantasy becomes one wall for your being, fear becomes the other wall. Worrying becomes the third wall, then the attention need from others, recognition, name and fame becomes the fourth wall. The comparison becomes the fifth wall. Ego becomes the, to prove yourself as something superior becomes the sixth wall and deep discontentment - seventh wall. Over.

[00:02:32]

That is what creates your boundary. If you break this walls, the whole world is yours. You are the owner of the whole world. You are atman. When you create these boundaries, 7 walls, [Swamiji draws on the board] what happens? You are already in cage, in cage. So just erase these walls, you will express such a tremendous energy. The moment you put this cage, you are no more atman you are just become mind.

[00:03:13]

Participant: (not audible)The mind is a calculating trouble.” HDH: Whole thing, mind does the whole game. Actually one side mind gives you the inspiration, peer pressure, other side it drains you. Simply, the peer pressure drains you and the mind just gives desires and takes away the energy to enjoy. If you drop the desire, you will have the energy to enjoy. But life is paradox, it’s just paradox. So, understand, just be little more intelligent.

(0:14)

This question shows the mentality of Devi. If we are supposed to ask, we would have asked, “What is this Universe?” Never “What is this wonder-filled Universe?” She is asking “What is this wonder-filled Universe?” Means what? She is living with a childlike innocence. For children, for kids universe is wonder filled. Because they don’t have logic. They don’t think this is the same chair which was there, which was here yesterday. They don’t think this is the same room in which they sat yesterday. They don’t think this is the same Sun which they saw yesterday. They know the Truth. Sun is new, this room is new, this chair is new, I am also new, you are also new.

(01:19)

Continuously you are changing. Continuously you are getting updated. Continuously you are moving. Continuously the Existence is changing. If you trust Existence changes and you also change, you can never get settled with your ego which is rigid mechanism. Only a person who is egoless can trust the Universe is changing and you are changing. The person who is established in ego can never understand the Universe is changing and you are changing.

(02:07)

The man who sells his time will never be able to understand the Universe is changing because he will be caught in a routine. Not being caught in a routine is a basic discipline for enlightenment. If you are in a routine you become so unaware, you stop believing, you stop realizing that Existence is changing, your life is changing and you are also changing.

(02:45)

I have seen some Government servants working for 30 years in the same office, will not even move their table from one place to other place and they forget that their table can be moved, and they really forget their table can be moved. Even in your house, don’t live with the same kind of furniture arrangement. Once in two-three months change it. Once in two-three months create little bit of chaos. No, you will feel that you are living in a new house. Otherwise you will become dead. Otherwise you will become so dead.

I have seen people. They will be having 10 rooms. Because of their habit, they wouldn’t have gone to the other 8 rooms even for three-four months in their own house. You would have not, you wouldn’t have travelled to the end of your, extreme of end of your garden for last two years. Remember, in your own house, you wouldn’t have gone to the corner of your compound wall. Have you been any time? At least for last two three years you wouldn’t have gone.

(04:12)

You have a track. From car you get down, the track, go to your kitchen or to the bed room, come back, go to the car. You will live on track. Mind feels comfortable if it has got a definite system, if it has got a definite system. If I would have created a definite system, I will have thousands and thousands of idiotic disciples.

People ask me, “Swamiji why this worship and ritual all these things, they became so popular? They became very popular; even though they are more difficult, more complicated, they became so popular. But this meditation!

Just understand this one thing. If I tell somebody, every Poornima go to Arunachala, do one do the giri pradakshina for 12 month, “Oh! You are Arunachala Himself Swamiji!. Surely I will do”. They go round. They don’t miss even a single month. If they miss one month they themselves start again from next month and unless they finish 12 month they don’t feel satisfied. It takes four hours. Hitting each other and walking. So much of difficulty. Tell them just sit half an hour and do Maha Mantra. Sit half an hour and do Maha Mantra. What they say? “Very difficult Swamiji, no time Swamiji”. The Rituals so complicated, so difficult but they take it and do it.

(06:13)

Anything definite can spread. In that they are definite. Even after coming back, nothing would have changed in them; except little bit of leg pain nothing else would have happened to them!! But in Maha Mantra they are not definite. They are not sure. Some personality change may happen. They are not sure of the outcome. It is a risk. Going into meditation is risk. Going around the hillock they know they will have only little more leg pain. Nothing else. They know they are in the safe place but here there is a risk. There is a risk. That is why people go to see the swami in the temples. The Temple swamis become very popular because they don’t speak; because they don’t change your life. They don’t ask you to do something. You can do everything, all possible nonsense, enter into temple, pay twenty five rupees and tell your name, your address, your website address and your email id and God will प्रसाद सिद्धिरस्तु Prasadha Siddhirastu. In the end Ashtaishwarya Vara Prasada Siddhirastu. You will have the garland and prasad and you will feel happy.

(08:02)

But here I will ask you what are you doing? What’s your life? There comes the trouble. Here if you come again and again either you will be forced to change your life trend because of this atmosphere or without even your knowledge you may be inspired by Me. You may be inspired by Me. Without even your awareness you may be inspired by Me. So there is a danger. Either consciously you have to change or unconsciously you may start changing. Many people come and tell me, “Swamiji now a days we started speaking like you, Nalladhu Nalladhu (Good, Good), we started laughing like you, we started behaving like you”. Many people come and tell me, “Many of your behaviours are coming in me. We start speaking like you. We start using your slang. We start behaving like you. We start acting like you”. That’s a big danger. I am such a solid force, I may penetrate you.

(09:30)

So anything definite is safe. The most definite thing on the Planet Earth is your tomb, graveyard. You are definite about everything in the graveyard. The more and more you start living with definition and security, the more and more you are dying. The more you die, more you will live with definitions. You live with the definite realities, definite things only when you die. That is why if you live in a definite track in your house, your house will have the vibration of a graveyard. Once in a while dance in your main hall. Your ether will be purified. The ether Akasha, the chitakasha, the space in the house will be purified. Once in a while play some keerthan, do a little bit dance. That place will be associated with that memories.

(10:49)

I assure you your bedroom is always associated with the nagging head attitude. You enter into your bedroom you will feel that sickness. You will feel that sickness, because that is associated with that thoughts. Once in a while shuffle the whole house, change it. Have a small out house, go and stay there. Once in a while change, shuffle the house. Put this furniture like this, put that furniture like this. Don’t have a clear definite. Just move this idol to that, that idol to this so that your mind will not get stuck with a single attitude. And if you fight with somebody sitting on a particular sofa, next time when you sit, consciously or unconsciously the same mood will happen in you. You do not know. The same mood will happen in you.

(12:00)

Have you seen when you go in a car, driver will be driving, you will be sitting. Suddenly you will say (Swamiji makes gestures ‘its okay leave it’). You will be sitting and thinking something. Suddenly you will say (Swamiji makes gestures ‘its okay leave it’). You will start thinking something else. Suddenly you will behave “I should not think this. Let me think something else. Let me think of something else”. Then you will be suddenly shocked the driver is seeing you. You will be just sitting, suddenly you will say, “I should not think like this” (Swamiji makes gestures as if saying ‘No leave it’).

(12:36)

What is happening in you? You see something on the road which connects, which creates, which awakens some memory which you do not want to cherish. Unconsciously that memory is awakened.

For example, you would have seen some furniture hoarding, advertisement of a particular furniture. The same furniture you would have seen in your enemy’s house. Immediately the mind unconsciously associates that and the memory goes to your enemy. The moment you start feeling disturbed by him, you think ‘I shouldn’t think this’. Then you try to change your thought pattern. If you live with the same things, your mem... you will create a track of memory. You will have very less access to your own being.

(13:40)

Listen here, your mind and your house is one and the same. Your being and your house is one and the same. If you don’t access throughout your, If you don’t walk throughout your house, if you don’t live with your whole house, be very clear you are not living with your whole memory. That very clearly proves you are not living with your whole memory.

People ask me, “How can you have access to so much of information Swamiji? Mind Boggling! So much of informations, coming out with so much of quotation from Valluvar to Einstein, Buddha to Gita, Gurdjieff to Gurudwars. So much of information. How could it? First of all, how can you store? Second thing, how are you able to access it? Even if we store, we are not able to access it. Only when some patient comes with a headache, you remember all the headache medicines. Sometimes you forget and remember the stomach pain medicine. How are you able to access? We are not able to access the memories which is there. How are you able to remember?

(15:13)

Yesterday suddenly the fox story came. (People laugh) Surely I have also not read that story after the first standard. After the first standard, I have also not read that story. From where suddenly the story appears? Clear access, clear access to the memories which is created at the age of 4 and 5. How is this possible? How is this possible? How can this happen? Because I don’t live on a particular track. I have no emotional attachment to a particular memory.

(16:05)

A small story has happened. One guy used to read only philosophy books. He goes to a library. Regularly he will go to library, but straight he will go to philosophy books. That is the only interest; he will read. After 3 years suddenly he wanted to read some fictitious novels. He goes and asks librarian, “I wanted to read some fiction”. Librarian says, “Just next cupboard is fiction”. This guy was shocked to understand in that last 3 years he has not even looked into it.

(16:56)

You also are doing this same thing in so many places. Suddenly you see in the corner of your street one big coconut tree is there. It is not that the coconut tree is teleported overnight. Suddenly you see and you think I have never seen this. How many times you have experienced this? Many time. And even in your own body suddenly you see a mark sometime. (people laugh) Why to talk about the street? Suddenly in front of a mirror you see there is a black mark which is there inside, which is there in your body. Because the guy is associated emotionally to that portion, to that part of the library, he forgot some other portions also exist. Some other part also exists.

(18:08)

You reduce yourself when you choose. You abuse yourself when you choose. You abuse yourself when you choose. You abuse your being when you choose part of your being and reject the other part of other part of your being. You reduce yourself to a man, to a level of man if you choose some part of your being. Just like this guy, the guy who is emotionally attached to philosophy will not have access to other books, even if they are there in the same library, next row.

Same way, if you are emotionally attached to some memories, you will not have easy access to all other memories of your mind, your chitta. If you are emotionally attached to particular memory, you will not have access to all other memories which is there in your system. You are stuck, you are stuck with a fevicol on that cupboard. You will not be able to move to the other cupboards. You don’t have a free access. It is like you have 10 megabyte memory in your laptop, if you keep only the prose or the words you can keep enormous memory. But if you start storing photographs, the memory will be short.

(20:02)

Your emotional memories are photographs. Whenever you are emotionally attached to some memory, the strong clear visualised picture will be stored in your memory. Anything which is stored in your system with a full clear visualization, occupies more memory space. So naturally you will not have the memory. You will have the lack of memory. So much of space is occupied just by one photograph.

You fill your whole hard drive with these memories. You go round, round, round in the same track; morning from the moment you get up till the moment you go to the bed, except this two...two thought nothing else will be there. Wherever you go you come back to the same two thoughts, same two, three thoughts. Nothing else. And anybody who touches the truth of two, three thought, immediately you feel you are hurt. You are hurt. Immediately you are hurt. And that is what is called by the word emotional weakness. See for example, all will be sitting and chatting, you will make Me a very simple statement, very casual statement, but suddenly that particular person hurt…. gets hurt by that statement. If I say one word about smoking, everybody will be enjoying, laughing but the guy who is not able to stop smoking, he feels he is hurt. Immediately he starts feeling disturbed and he thinks the whole discourse is aimed at him. 😊 The whole thing is directed towards him. I think from the first day everyone feels... 😊😊 😊 one on one conversation is going on. One on one conversation is going on. 😊

(02:10)

There is no such thing as good memory or bad memory. Just throw away everything. What made you feel happy, even that when you try to hold, it will become misery. That is what I say, don't possess Nithyananda. When you try to possess that memory, you will start squeezing it, you will suffocate that photographs. They will run away. You will suffocate that memories, they will run away. If you just continuously try to stay around somebody 24 hours and simply that man will be fed up, gets fed up.

See the idea of beauty exists as long as you don't live together. Idea of beauty exists as long as you play the game from distance... you play the game from distance. With ordinary people, the more they go close to them more the problem, more they drift away, more they get detached. Anyhow your memory, the emotional attachment to memory only makes, only that is the main reason for memory loss.

If you feel that your memory is not sharp, you don't have sharp memory, you have memory loss problem, erase the old files, high resolution picture files. You will have enough space to store the things. You have so many nonsensical irrational unnecessary high resolution photographs in your hard drive. That is why it is so hard to drive. 😊😊 That is why it is so hard to drive. When your hard drive is filled. it is very hard to drive your life. That is why instead of driving you are pulling your life.

(04:37)

There are two kinds of living, driving your life and pulling your life. We are all pulling. We have reduced our self to bullock cart state. If you have become a tractor means you start driving your life. If you have become a no mind being, the memory less person, you start flying as a helicopter, as a aircraft. If you are a aircraft, if you are a helicopter, from there you can access to any memory at any time because it is like operating from satellite. Random Access. Operating from satellite. You can play any dimension at any moment. One moment you can be a god, giving boons and exactly your body language will act like a god. Next moment you will be just like a small boy, a mere boy, child, playing. Exactly your whole body language, not only the words, even your body language will show you are a boy, mere child. Even the, every finger, every inch of your body will react that same memory. You will feel as if he has literally become a child, become a kid. The random Access; you can enter into any memory and play with it.

(06:22)

That is what Ramakrishna calls Bhava Samadhi state, means beyond the bhavanas. You can have access to any bhavana. He suddenly enters into Devi bhava and you can see almost he’s a Devi. You can't imagine he is a man. The next moment he becomes a Krishna, you can't imagine he is a 50 years old man. And the devotedisciples they write a reminiscence a 50 year old man jumping and dancing how ugly it will look usually, and when Ramakrishna dances, they say such wonderful grace will ooze-out of him. You can see a total innocent child. Because simply enters into that bhava and everything else speaks the same bhava. Everything else speaks the same bhava. Somebody was telling Me, “Swamiji, even your hairs acts different way, even your hair behave in a different way with your different moods.” Every…. not only the hair, hair hole, even your pores will act in different way because you will have the total access to anything. You can download anything. If your hard drive is filled with high resolution scan…. scanned pictures, you will not be able to download the whole. So, you are half here, half there, half everywhere. Wherever you go you are half. Living with high resolution pictures is what I call living with logic, living with intellect, living with ego, living on a same track, living without the excitement, living with suffering, living with dukkha, living with boredom. All these things are one and the same. High resolution pictures in your hard drive, that's all.

(08:57)

That is why you feel life is boredom. Except human being no animal feels life is a boredom. 😊 It is just your memories, memory association because of your memory association, too many high resolution pictures in your hard drive, the idea wonderful universe disappears from you. Things look very flat, very flat. You say, what is this universe? If you ask a question you always ask, “what is this universe?” You always ask, “What is this universe?” Means what? Out of frustration. Out of frustration you ask, “What is this world? What is this universe?” She is asking, “What is this wonderful universe?” The whole attitude is different. Arjuna is asking, “What kind of society it is? What kind of humanity it is? I have to kill my own relations?” His question is totally from memory, emotional attachment. His question is from the high resolution scanned files. The moment he stood in front of that whole group, all the childhood memories came up. The Bhishma, the grandfather who took care of him. The Dronacharya who taught him how to hold the bow and arrow. The Kripacharya, who took care of him, and all the brothers, so much of emotional memories.

(11:01)

All those high resolution pictures are trying to enter into, enter at a time. So, if you try to download the whole thing at a time what happens? Computer crashes. That is what is Arjuna vishada yoga. Arjuna’s vishada is nothing but a computer crash. So much of emotional memories coming up, he’s not able to bear. His question is totally from different angle. Now this Devi is asking the same thing in a different… from different angle, “What is this wonder filled universe? What is this wonder filled universe?”

Participant: Inaudible

Ah.. wonderful universe, wonder filled universe. When we say wonderful universe, the emphasis again on you. You feel it as wonderful. When you say it is wonder filled, emphasis is on what IS, its too much... wonder filled; not even wonderful... wonder filled, overflowing. She says wonder-filled universe, overflowing. She must have been in the ecstasy. That is why she is asking, “Oh Shiva what is your reality?” She must have seen the Vishwaroopa or multidimensions of Him, that is why she is asking, “what is your reality?”

HDH: Tamas, rajas and sattva. The persons who are caught in sattva should go move…... the persons who are caught in rajas, they should move towards sattva. The guys who are caught in tamas should move at least to rajas. But you are caught in rajas so move towards sattva.

Participant: I realize that whatever problems or whatever I feel now are my desires only. The results of my desires only.

HDH: Nothing else.

Participant: It is my creation only.

HDH: Simply your creation. That's all. Over. There is no need to oppose. Live happily. Over. Live up. That's all. Over. See, even with desire if you are ready to have that suffering happily, have, be happy. Live happily with suffering.

Participant: No I feel...I feel..I feel that I need not even consider it as a suffering.

HDH: Suffering. That's all. See when you start living happily with suffering it will not be even suffering. There is no need even to bring the word suffering. That's all. Live happily. Over. Instant liberation. You can have a board here, instant liberation in cheap cost, 😊 😊 at free of cost, not even cheap cost. That is true. This is what I call liberation. Just be in that same state, continuously.

Ah.. Just don't bother. Now you know the glimpse of this eh...peace and joy and happiness, just live with it. Over. But the mind starts creating a doubt, “Oh how can enlightenment be so simple? How can enlightenment be so easy? I think somewhere I am missing. I should find out that missing link.”

(02:07)

Participant: Even I am not worried about enlightenment word and all.

HDH: Ah...That's all. Relax and live happily. Over.

[Translation: Sometimes when the worry comes and we think more about worry and worry more instead if we drop expecting about worry the worry drop by itself.]

HDH: That's all.

[Translation: If I think about four, five worries one after one practically I can’t stop it. So better let me stop thinking about worries it will simply disappear.]

HDH: That's all, that's all. Over, Over.

Participant: Is pain the same?

HDH: Same

Participant: Swamiji for the first time in life I realized, even I accepting our flaws, accepting ourselves as we are is the greatest freedom and joy.

HDH: Yes. See the, accepting yourself is the greatest freedom. Beauty happens to you only when you accept yourself. Till then whatever you know beauty is nothing but makeup. Your whole being becomes beautiful. You start radiating beauty when you accept yourself. When you start radiating grace when you accept yourself. Otherwise whatever you know about yourself is nothing true.

Participant: Swamiji I had written one as peer pressure. I always thought peer pressure is something I have to keep up with. When others perform we believe peer pressure, we have to, you have to. HDH: When you drop out you will create pressure for others. I tell you when you drop out you will become so dynamic, so alive, so alert, you will start creating pressure for others.

One minute. Mmh. Participant: “Swamiji is there a paradox between the quest for enlightenment that you are talking about, and the patience we need?” HDH: Uh. Life is paradox. Life is paradox. If you run to catch your shadow, can you catch? Can you catch? No. Just walk. Shadow will follow you. Just you walk where you want to go, shadow will follow you. If you try to run and catch the enlightenment, you’ll be trying to catch your shadow. Just live with waiting. You’ll see that enlightenment is following you, because you have it. It is your being. Mmh. When the deep quest happens it becomes a tremendous waiting. As long as the quest is not full, you think that by doing this, by doing that you can achieve, so you try to do all possible things. When the quest becomes too much and now you know any doing is not going to work. See, only when the quest is not too much you try to do something. You have energy left to, to do something. For example you have a deep suffering, 80%. Then what will you think? With the 20% of energy you will think, “Let us go to resort. Let us go to cinema. Let us go to some party.” But if you have 100% depression. You will naturally lie down in your room and lock yourself. You will not have energy even to, you will not think of even going to the resort or the party or the movie.

[00:02:12]

So if your quest is half-half you will try to meditate. You will try to do all possible practices. You will try to do all possible things. When the quest is full, you enter into a space called waiting, surrender. If you have the total depression you don't even feel like going out of your room, just you fall in your bed. You don't go to theater. You don't go to shows. You don't go to party. You don't go to restaurants. You go to restaurants, you go to parties, you go to shows, only if you have half-half. Half, little depressed and little you have the confidence that you can come out. Only then you go around. Same way, if your quest is half-half, you go around and just have a window shopping, “Tch, what this Swami is telling, what that Baba is telling. What that Guruji is telling. What this Paramahamsa is telling.” You just go around and start searching. The moment it becomes total, when the quest becomes total, simply you drop and enter into the space called waiting, the ultimate waiting. Any other question? Thank you.

Before entering into the next session, next sutras… questions? Any questions? Participant: “Swamiji, can you throw some light on the functioning of the cognitive shift?” HDH: Functioning of? Participant: “Cognitive shift.” HDH: Cognitive shift... it’s a wonderful word. Cognitive shift... Usually your mind continuously tends to work towards suffering. For example: if you find yourself totally out of all the problems for some time, few minutes, few moments, you feel something is missing in you; that you are not as you are supposed to be. So you try to find something. That expansion or the emptiness is too much. So you try to create a fence of suffering or you run to any extend. You run to the extreme and try to create some fence. You can exist only with suffering. The moment you eradicate the sufferings you can’t exist as ego. As ego, as a small ‘i’, you can exist only with suffering. So sufferings only gives you that boundary consciousness.

[00:02:09]

For example, if you don’t have any fear you will not have boundary consciousness. You will be so relaxed, so deeply relaxed, you will not even remember that you have boundary. The moment you have the fear about death only you start entering into the boundary. As long as you don’t have the fear of death, you will not have death; because you are not inside the boundary. The fear of death only creates the boundary for the whole land. As long as you don’t have boundary, whole planet Earth is yours. The moment you put the boundary, you have only that land as yours. So the moment you enter into dukkha, any dukkha… any desire, any desire immediately you will have the problem whether it will be fulfilled or not. Even a small desire like you should come here and take this fruit, it can be simply be fulfilled. It is not at all a big thing, but the intensity of the desire, you will start worrying, “by the time itself I may fall. Somebody else may take away the fruit.” Even if it is a small desire, once the intensity enters into the desire you will have that terrible fear. It’ll be a very simple thing. It’ll be just your everyday routine many time. But the moment the intensity en... enters, you will start having a fear. You will start having the thoughts whether it will be filled or not, whether it will be fulfilled or not - the worry. The moment intensity enters into any desire, the moment emotional attachment enters into any, to any memory, the fear starts. Any emotional attachment to any memory will let the... it will awaken the fear, then worry. Then you know you are already in the boundary.

[00:04:19]

Actually as you are, you are a just free being, just a vast expanse of land. Visualize as if you are on the top of a hillock, vast expansive top of the hillock, big... feel it. The problem is, the difficulty is, the moment you think or you get the thought of desire or fear or worry, you make a boundary, you make a fence. More intense the desire, fen... fence is small. More intense the fear, fence is small. More intense the worry, fence becomes much more small. The moment you start identifying yourself with the fence, you lost the eternity; because the eternity is lost, which is your basic right. The problem is you can’t live with such a vast expansive consciousness. You feel it is too much.

[00:05:34]

Whenever you get the glimpse of it, again you start thinking. Your mind just waits to get some problem, to catch some problem. You can’t survive as a simple “I” without any problem, without any problem. You create something or other, something you create. The problem is one more thing. When you create, you create for the sake of utility to survive, utility to exist; but after few minutes or after few times repeating that same word, you start thinking, it is really a problem. When we put the fence, we put the fence for the sake of our safety, our security. But after seeing the fence two, three times, you really start thinking you can’t go out of it. You yourself caught in the fence. First you build a wall for the sake of security, then finally you start feeling it’s, it has become a prison. So all your identification is utility for the sake of utility. Unless you identify yourself with your boundary, you will not be able to go to your shop. So the early morning you identify yourself with your boundary to go to your shop. You can do it as a playfully, very playfully. Identify, go and do the job. When you feel it is too much, when you don’t want, relax. It always, it can happen, but you have the fear: “How will I survive?” And even if you die, what is there? Even if you die, what is there? Alright, if you live with this uh insecure feeling, with the fear, if ah, if uh, if you allow the fear, what will happen? You will start getting more and more into this thought system, and a vicious circle. If you live like this, you think you are not going to die? No. Again you are going to enter into death. Little early, that's all. With this vicious cycle little early, that is all.

[00:08:02]

Now, the survival question of survival or any desire or fear and worry which is the outcome of these two. Desire and the fear, when they both meet and merge, worry comes. Worry is the child. Desire is mother, worry is, no, no, fear is father, worry is a child. These three creates boundary sense for you. This is what I say, mental setup of mithya. Continuously work you work towards ephemeral. Even if you don’t have any problem you start associating yourself with somebody else’s problem. Why do you think people continuously read newspapers and feel satisfied? They associate themselves with others problems.

[00:09:01]

Why do you think you feel, people feel so satisfied when they see somebody dancing in TV? When they see somebody dancing in the TV, they associate themselves to that movement. Anyhow they can’t dance, first of all their wife may not let them or the husband will not let them and you can’t have always that beautiful scenes and that background music; that is missing in the life. That is a big problem. Life has no background music. 😀 Life has no background music. You see, in the movie all these sentiments are shown in a big dham dhum, background music; dham dhum background music, dramatically. But in the live things are very flat. When you see somebody dancing in the TV or movie, you associate yourself with that person and feel satisfied. That is what, cerebral layer, cerebral satisfaction. Same way, when you see somebody is suffering through the newspapers, you feel sympathy. You associate yourself with that person and feel satisfied.

[00:10:27]

You want some sufferings. It’s a food for your ego. If there is no... nobody comes and tells you that they are suffering or you don’t see anybody who is suffering, you will feel something is missing. That is why you continuously feel happy when you see others suffering. Really you have a subtle kind of happiness when others suffer. Whatever you may say but the truth is this. Truth is this… Really, that is what is happening. Uh understand logically. This is the truth. When somebody suffers you have subtle satisfaction. Actually the problem is, not even we having problem, when you feel that nobody else has got so much of suffering, you have more suffering. You having diffi, problems is one thing. When you think: “Others are all happy. Only I am having more suffering”, your suffering becomes too much.

[00:11:32]

When you feel: “Oh, so many are in my boat”, then what do you feel? You feel very comfortable. Today one devotee, she came and told me: “Swamiji, I was weeping at the time of meditation. When I saw so many people are weeping, I was very comfortable.” 😀 “I was very happy.” So, when you see there are some more company for you, you feel very happy, comfortable. You have some friends! When somebody else also is suffering, you have deep satisfaction. Two thing: Either you, you will have your own desire and your own fear, your own worry and suffer. If you don’t get these three enough supply to run your day to day life, you just take the cerebral help. You can take the cerebral help. Actually this three gives you rajasic energy. Desire only makes you run. Morning, early morning if you don’t have some desire, if you don’t remember about your shop, will you go there? If you don’t have a fear, that if you don’t go you will not be able to survive, will you go there? No. If you don’t have these two, you will not be able to move. These two only creates worry. These two says: “Oh”. First you get the desire, then you say: “What I should do?” The planning is worry. Second: Fear. Then after that, after fear what you think, start thinking. “Oh what should I do then now?” Then again what you are planning is worrying.

[00:13:07]

Plans from fear, plans from greed, is what I call worrying. If you can plan without these two, is what I call creativity. When you, when the planning happens from this two roots, it’s worrying. So these two only gives you enough of rajas to be active. In the modern day, man needs more rajas than his own original fears and desires. That is why you start getting the material supply, raw material supply from TV and newspaper. You get... you acquire little more fear and greed from movies and cinema. You get little more fear and greed through medias. You are not, you don’t have enough of raw material supply, you don't have enough of rajas. So what you do now? You have more raw material supply from the movies. You pick up those big, big sentimental words and attach to your life, attach to your life.

(00:14:18)

Actually people ask Me: “How can I run my life and spirituality?” You have so much of abundant energy, you can simply balance. You can simply be little more intelligent and live that beautifully and live this also beautifully. But the difficulty is we have acquired too many words. Before any incident happens we continuously replay, replay, replay, re-re-re-re replace …… words inside our system. You’ll be sitting here, your husband or wife will not even remember you, but you will be having continuously fear: “If I go back I don’t know what will happen. I don’t know what all I am going to face.” They will not be even remembering you. But sitting here you will be remembering. Actually, they will be having some other fear, they will be having some other desire. They are busy with their desires, their fears and their worries and nobody cares for others worries. I tell you honestly. Nobody cares for others worries. They are only worried that you should not give any worry for them. So they start giving you worries. That is what actually happens. The moment they are, you give them the security that you will not give them worry, they will never give you worries. Nobody will give you worry the moment you give them the security that you will not give them worry. The insecure feeling only makes them to give worry to you.

[00:16:02]

Anyhow. When you don’t have enough of raw material supply, you start collecting material from media; so that you will have more rajas, you can run for some more time. In those days so many hours... there is no need for people to work so many hours. Now you have to work. So you need little more rajas supply. So you want a fantasy home, dream home. A big cutout you see in the road side “dream home” and big hoardings, cutouts, all these things when you see, you add all those additions. Big jewelry when you see in the cutouts, what do you think? “Ah, that will look grand on me, that will look grand on me.”

[00:16:49]

But people don’t understand, they’ll get only the jewelry, not that model. We always feel, we’ll get the model also. You are going to get only the soap when you pay 10 rupees, not that model. But both get recorded inside your system, both will get recorded inside your system. You start getting more rajasic, you start running. The rajas is infused, injected into your system. The rajas is injected into your system when you acquire more fear and more greed; these two creates tremendous rajas. You as small “i” can survive only when you have the fence of fantasies, fear and worry. So naturally, your ball rolls always towards the mental setup of mithya, towards the mental setup of mithya. But I tell you, the new way of existence is possible. The new way of existence is possible.

[00:00:15]

There is a question, “Swamiji is it possible to live without mind?”. I am replying: “Look at here! [Swamiji gestures towards Himself] There is a person sitting with flesh and bones. I am living without mind.” I have no vested interest to convince you, except the simple courtesy, except the simple courtesy. I don't even want to give a big word compassion. No! Who am I? I don’t even want to give a big word, ‘Compassion’. For example, you are travelling in Mysore road, you are near Bangalore, somebody from Bidadi is ringing up and asking you: “How is the traffic? I wanted to come to Bangalore. How long do you think it will take?” Will you not have a simple courtesy to guide them through cellphone? “No. don't bother, road is clear. In 10 minutes you can reach or 20 minutes you can reach.” You'll not have a simple courtesy? I tell you from the same simple courtesy, you can live without mind.

[00:01:20]

There is a new mental set up, new way of life, new way of existing is possible, which I say - Living without boundaries, Living without Boundaries. Just let your ball roll with your life. Go and live. Do, play the whole game. But don't think it is for your survival sake, it is for your survival sake. Don't think it is for your survival sake. Somebody asked Ramana Maharshi, “Bhagavan, I wanted to come and settle down in Tiruvannamalai.” Bhagavan says: “Do it.” Then after few days he comes and says, “Bhagavan I did calculation; for me to survive in Tiruvannamalai 6 rupees is more than enough.” In those days, 6 rupees is more than enough. Bhagavan laughs and says: “Fool! For you to survive you don't even need body and mind, why do you need 6 rupee?” For you to survive, you don't even need body and mind. Why do you need 6 rupee? We always think, only with the survival of the body and mind you can survive. It is the other way! You don't even need your body and mind.

[00:02:41]

The moment you understand you don't even need your body and mind it is such a big freedom. See now, what for you're all this suffering, tell me? For food and the basic facility. If you die you're free from that responsibility. You are free from that responsibility. You are free from that headache. Now, all our struggle is for this 2-3 things. One is food and basic facility and for comfort and for name and fame. What others will think about me? This all. If you die, you are free from all this responsibility. It is almost like a - you yourself, இந்த வேளில போற ஓனான எடுத்து இடுப்புல போட்டு, கொடையுதே கொடையுதே ன்னு சொல்லுவாங்கன்றங்களே but how to translate that into English? That uh ... some - some Chameleon. Participant: Chameleon, Chameleon. HDH: Chameleon. Alright! Some lizard which was in the fence, this guy picked up that lizard and put, put inside his, his, inside his dress and he started saying, “oh it is hurting, it is hurting, it is hurting.” Why do you first of all bring that lizard into your clothes? Then, you start shouting, “oh this is going here, this is going here, this is doing something here, this is doing something here.” The very basic thing, even if you die, it's a big freedom from responsibility.

[00:04:12]

The moment you understand death as a liberation, death as a liberation, you are free from the whole thing; your ego disappears. The moment you understand death as a liberation, your Ajna opens – your ego disappears. You enter into Varanasi. That is why in Varanasi death is liberation and celebration. When they say death is liberation in Varanasi, they mean if you enter into Varanasi, egoless state, death is liberation. [00:04:46] Now, life is a big responsibility. Death is a big liberation. Death is big liberation. The moment you understand ‘death is liberation’ life becomes celebration. You don't have responsibility; responsibility is a idiotic word, according to Me.

[00:05:05]

Participant: “Swami I understand it is our duties, you may say it is our ego showing that” HDH: See what it is duty, tell me? Participant: “My children are there, they have to be provided for. Suddenly if we….” HDH: So you think that if you provide for them they will be happy? Participant: No at least the minimum, so that they are able to... HDH: Alright, all minimum has been provided to you, are you happy? Participant: At least I am not …... HDH: Oh, ok, alright. When will you think that your responsibility will end?

Participant: “Once they are educated and settled”

HDH: You think that your responsibility will end? Participant: “Hopefully so.” HDH: 😀 From My experience let me be very clear. I have seen lakhs of people, even after their death, they don't feel their responsibility has ended. That is why they write will. Why do you think we write will? Even after death we don't want to end our responsibilities.

[00:06:06]

Actually, the moment you associate yourself with some responsibility or duty, even after death you can't relax. You’ll be watching from somewhere. “Whether these guys have fulfilled my will or not, I don't know. Whether they have done according to their will or according to my will?” So the responsibility never ends, even after you die. The moment you associate yourself with the duty consciousness or responsibility you will never end. It’ll never end. It is a unending, vicious circle. In My experience, I have not seen a single person who feels he has finished his responsibilities, who feels he has finished his duties. It is a cunning word to cover your selfish enjoyment-motives. Be very clear, all your word, duty, responsibility is a beautiful cover. It is a beautiful cover to cover your selfish desires and for desires towards enjoyment...some corner

[00:07:23]

And even your so-called children's responsibility, it is actually once your body is tired and weak, once you are not able to enjoy, you enjoy through your children. They are the extension of your being. Just understand, If they don't listen to your words and take their own decisions will you feel responsible? Will you feel that it is your duty? Then what happens to all your duty and responsibility? If it is really responsibility and truth, duty, according to truth, you are supposed to be responsible at any time, whatever they do. But do you feel responsibility if they do on their own? Do you feel? No! Then what happens? Means, all your word - duty, responsibility, everything is taking care of them for your own as… you see, as long as they act as your own extension, you take care of them. They are your extension. You feel satisfied through them, you enjoy through them. When you feel, “I can't enjoy anymore what to do? Then you think: “Alright let this guy enjoy at least, let this guy have.” You feel happy. “You see, my son has got the big car. My son has got a big house.” Again, MY son has got big house, means what? I have big house with little alteration; the same statement with little alteration. Some enjoy the ‘I’, the others enjoy the mind, that's all. As long as you have power, you enjoy the ‘I’. The moment you're little weak, you start enjoying the mind; power through others.

[00:09:20]

All your sense of responsibility, idea of duty is nothing but extension of selfish desires to some joy, some enjoyment. So you give a beautiful cover, you cannot be so abrupt, straight; because you know the basic lessons ‘selfishness is wrong’. So now you have to find some cunning word to hide it, to cover it, to play the hide and seek game. Now, what… what is the game? What is the next word? No, no. Dharma.

[00:10:01]

We have a big word. Dharma. What do we know about Dharma? Nothing. What we do? Actually, nothing. Many times I have seen people who feel they have duty towards their children, they destroy the children's life. They neither allow the kids to marry on their own, nor they allow the kids to live the life the son or daughter wants. The daughter wants to live alone happily without getting married, but the father-mother says: “No, no, no, we have the responsibility to put you in marriage. It's our duty.” Son wants to become a doctor, father says: “No, no, no, you have to become engineer. I have a responsibility to make you as engineer.” The guy wants to do operation, if he becomes engineer, what will happen? Somebody wants to be engineer. They say “No, no, no. You can make money only as a doctor, come here we will put you as a doctor”. This guy want to break stones, if he’s made as a doctor what will happen? He’ll be breaking the heads.

[00:11:19]

So, when you... all idea about duty consciousness is nothing but your own selfish desires with a little bit of gold covering. It is just, gold covering, nothing else. Jewelry with gold covering. Problem is, the jewelry is not even made of copper, it is made of mud and gold-coated. Jewelry gold-coated made by mud is what is our concept of duty and responsibility.

[00:11:59]

All your duty, all your idea of responsibility, as long as it is from fear and greed, it’ll create only more worrying. You will have the continuous irritation and weight in the Mula... in the Manipuraka. In this region you’ll have a continuous weight, continuous irritation. Suddenly, one day, decide and drop everything. Simply drop everything. Just let go, just get ready. Even if death comes, ok. I am not going to do anything. Let go, drop and relax. Simply within few days the tremendous understanding will dawn on you. Nothing can touch you, nothing can touch you. Even death is a liberation. That is what I say by the word, death experience.

[00:13:00]

I don't mean death experience means you'll have something different. This cognitive shift, this cognitive shift, “Even if I die, what is there? I'm free from all these responsibilities and headaches. So death is only a liberation”. First of all, people come and ask Me: “If I die, what will happen Swamiji?” As if what you are living - how you are living now, tell Me? What’s your life? Just do little bit of research. You see, one thing, if you had some experience, great experience and you want that experience to repeat in your life. If you are living for that, then ok. Can you say ‘any one experience just for that experience to repeat I am living’? Is there anything worthy which has happened in our life? Just look back! “For that one worthy incident Swamiji, worthy experience - life is worth living. I am just hoping it may repeat once more in my life, that is the reason I am still alive.” Can we say even a single experience like that? No! There is nothing like that if you scan your life. Anything worthy? Ok. ok. And then why do you want to then live? If you scan also, you say it is filled with worries and difficulties and problems and you want to live also? It's like a vicious circle.

[00:14:47]

You create fear based on the question of survival and after that uhh fear, again you want to survive? It’s like you, you create a fence and go hit your face in the - hit yourself in the fence and you want to break the fence and go out. Arey first of all there is no fence. Why do you create and then go and hit yourself and you wanted to go out?

[00:15:11]

Understand this basic secret about death. As long as you live, play the drama. The moment death comes - relax, enjoy, over. Just this simple understanding how death will simply liberate you.

[00:00:15]

Now, can you avoid death? No. For sure you know it’s going to, it will be. So as long as you die, as long as the death comes, you will be playing your role, your game. Then why to bother so much? Why to bother so much? Anyhow, till he comes I am going to play here. I am going to be here. For example, you know around 12 o’clock in the noon, somebody will come to your house and pick you. Somebody will come, yours, ahh, you are in a, in a hotel, or in your friend’s house, or somewhere which is not your place, in a bus stand or somewhere, in a bus stand. If you know that till... by 12 o’clock, somebody will come with a vehicle and pick you, take you, will you start worrying? No. You’ll be quite relaxed. But in the same bus stand, if you don’t know that nobody, if you don’t know that, “whether somebody will come to pick me up or not?” If you don’t know what time people will come and take you, if you don’t know the next step, what do you think, you will be doing? Continuously worrying, “What will happen to this? What will happen to that? When will I reach? I don’t know.” All these things. Here for sure you know, somebody will come and pick you up. For sure, you can be, you can be sure about that. Nobody will be left here. Nobody will be left here. Somebody will come and pick you up. You know for sure. Then why do you bother? Relax. Till they come to pick us up, let us play our game.

[00:02:10]

If you are a mother, play the game of mother. If you are father, play the game of the father. Don’t internalize. But we have too many big, big words. We continuously internalize. We think, “It is too much, I can’t put up. How much I can bear Swamiji? It is too much.” There is nothing in the planet Earth too much, except the word “too much.” Actually, if you sit with the other 2, 3 people and talk about their suffering, if you know their sufferings, you will understand how safe and happy you are. Really. Actually I feel so happy when I see, when I come to know, the people are suffering in so many ways. Not that I am, I am feeling happy because of their suffering. I am feeling that I am blessed. I am blessed.

[00:03:07]

So many people, so much of suffering. But when you do not know others sufferings, you think you are the only person who is suffering. And one more thing, for example: you want some amount of space and freedom, whenever you want to go somewhere out, you wanted to have that freedom. If they give that freedom, it is not that you will stop there. Again you will try to expand your boundary. You are only going to continuously expand your boundary, till the other person fights with you. You see, till the neighbor says, “it is my boundary,” you will go on expanding your boundary. If there is nobody who says, “it is my boundary,” simply you will make the whole thing as your land. That is what is the usual tendency. So naturally, you will end only where you find suffering, because you are in search of suffering. You will end, you will stop putting your fence, only when somebody else interferes in your, interferes and says.

[00:04:24]

And even if your boundary, for example: now you have 5 acres of space, 5 acre space, healthy. This much of freedom, whenever you want you can go somewhere. Whenever you want you can do something. You don’t stop with that 5 acre boundary, 5 acre space; you want not only that space, you want some, something more.

[00:04:50]

See now, maybe people giving, ah, your wife maybe giving you the space, with a little grumbling and grudging, just, alright. But you don’t keep quiet, you want their acknowledgement also. Then you tell them, “you also come to ashram.” Then you expect them to live as you want. You don’t understand, there are so many wives who never let them, let the husbands even come here. You don’t understand that. You have at least this much of freedom that you can come. But you don’t stop with this freedom, with this boundary, with this fence. You wanted your fence to be little more big. If they don’t tell you anything, then you want them also to come. That’s the next. Then you’ll say, then you wanted them to do whatever you want to do.

[00:05:43]

So, as long, only when they say, “No, it is my boundary,” then you stop. Till then, you go, you go, you go, you just intrude others space, in the name of your freedom. You continuously intrude till you hit your fence. So, you are in search of ‘dukkha’. Only when you find some opposition, some problem, you stop. Till you find problems and oppositions, you don’t stop. If you have 5 acres boundary, and suddenly somebody gives you 100 acre boundary, again you don’t stop with 100 acre. You go only near the fence and stand and shake the fence, to move the fence. You don’t see the 100 acre behind you. You are again hitting the fence. When it was 5 acre, you were hitting the fence and saying, “Oh, I have small space, small space, small space.” If you have 100 acre, again you are hitting the fence only. You are always hitting your head on the compound wall.

[00:06:58]

There’s a beautiful example, told by Ramana Maharishi. There was a guy, who was standing in a triangular wall, triangular shape of room. And he was in a corner, he saw the front two walls, and he was just hitting the two boundary, “Oh, I am bound, I am bound, I am bound, I am in a prison. Please save me,” he was shouting. He was shouting and shouting. Somebody said, “Fool! You’re not in a boundary, turn back.” He turned and saw, the other side there is no wall. 😀 The other side, there is no wall.

[00:07:38]

You always go to the end, go to the extreme, and stand there and wanted to expand again, wanted to push the boundary. If you have a 5 acres boundary, you go and stand near the boundary and you will continuously shout, “Oh, there is no space, there is no freedom. Only I have 5 acre. I have to expand my boundary.” Suddenly for some reason, you get 100 acre, again what you do? You go and stand near the boundary and start shouting, “I have no space, I have no freedom, what is this?”

[00:08:15]

When you decide you do not want to have freedom, you don’t recognize your freedom. When you decide you do not want your space, you don’t recognize the space given to you. When you decide to live with sufferings and worries, you go and stand in the compound wall. I tell you, come and live inside the home. Why do you always stand in the compound wall? Why do you always hit yourself in the fence? So much of space here; whatever space is there, start living with it. But, because you continuously search for suffering... you see you want some definition for yourself, you want to define yourself. Only sufferings and fear defines you. So you wanted to have little bit of juice, sufferings and fear, you go and hit.

[00:09:25]

For example, if you have 10 lakh, you’ll be start thinking of 10 crore. “If I have 10 crore, I’ll have more freedom. Freedom to choose my sufferings 😀 or more space.” The moment you get 10 crore, you start thinking of, visualizing the 100 crore freedom. “If I have 100 crore, I’ll have so many bungalows and houses all over the world, wherever I go I can stay. I’ll have more freedom, more space. Choice for more sufferings.” 😀 So the moment you have 100 crore, you start bothering about 1000 crore. “If I have 1000 crore, it’ll be a... I’ll have more space, more freedom, more enjoyment.” You don’t stand and live inside your space, you always stand near your boundary.

[00:10:20]

So this is what I call mental setup of ‘mithya’, mental setup of ‘mithya’. There is a another one kind of mental setup, mental setup of ‘vithya/nithya’, recognizing your space, giving respect to your freedom which is there. Actually you don’t recognize what you have. You don’t respect what you have. Whatever has become yours, you start resp..disrespecting it. As long as it is not yours, you crave for it, you beg for it, you do tapas for it. The moment it becomes yours, simply you disrespect it, you don’t even care for it. It is there, lying in one corner.

[00:11:14]

So there are so many things which has become your being, which has become part of your Self. You don’t respect that. You don’t recognize all those things. You don’t respect them, taking it for granted. And actually, the moment you understand death as a liberation, the life becomes celebration. You have nothing. As long as you are here, play this whole drama, enjoy. And never think you can make your children happy. Never think they will be happy because of your work, your responsibility consciousness. It is they who decide their life. And according to My experience, I tell you one thing, if you are irresponsible, your children will take the responsibility of their life. I always tell people, never give wealth to your kids. You will destroy them. Give them intelligence and little bit of suffering. Let them earn. Only when they earn, they’ll know the value of things. They will know the value of things.

[00:12:35]

You see, if you purchase a silver tumbler, you know it is 2000 rupees or 1000 rupees. Silver tumbler, silver, at least it will cost 1000 rupee. But if it is gifted to you, by your father, or as a ancestral property, what will you do? You do not know the value. If somebody says, “I’ll give you hundred rupees.” You think, “Ah, if hundred rupees comes, I can smoke today. Take it and give me. I can smoke, I can go for a party. That is what is immediate joy for me.” You do not know the value, when it is handed over to you.

[00:13:15]

Beautifully Bill Gates says - Bill Gates, the world’s biggest, world's richest man, world’s biggest ‘Lakshmipathi’, 😀 richest man on the planet Earth. He has written, he gave away all his property to charity, except a small amount. If he has got 100 crore, only 1000 rupees he has given to his sons. Very small amount, meagre amount, not even 001%. He is sitting on 400 million dollar hard cash. 400 million na?

[00:13:55]

Participant: 40 billion dollars Swamiji: Oh, 40? Participant: 40 thousand Participant: Billion! Participant: 40 thousand Swamiji: 40 billion dollars! 40 thousand million then? 40 thousand million dollars hard cash, on that he is sitting. Only 10 million dollars he has given to the sons. The whole thing he has wrote a, he wrote a will to the charity, to charity. He has given away to charity.

[00:14:24]

People are just shocked. Somebody interviewed him and asked him, “Why did you do this?” He said, “just because they are born as my son, they have no right to enjoy this wealth. Just because they are my sons, they have no right to enjoy this wealth. Only when you earn, you have right to enjoy the wealth.” According to Me he is a Buddha. In his understandings he is a Buddha. Actually, when you don’t give wealth to your kids, you make them man. You make them matured. Never give wealth. Never give them wealth. Even if you have to give, write as a will, let it go after your death. Never give when you are alive. When you are alive, let them earn, let them work.

[00:15:15]

I have seen many rich people, when they hand over the wealth to the, ah, next generation, within one generation the whole thing will vanish, disappear. If the father is a wealthy guy, be very clear... if the father has earned, son will take birth just to spend. If the father doesn’t give any money, he will simply create a kingdom. You will simply create a kingdom. You will create a kingdom, because you will start knowing the value of wealth. You’ll start knowing the value of wealth. When you acquire freedom, when you acquire space, when you acquire this new mental setup, you will know the value of it. You will know the value of it.

Now, understand, this cognitive shift. The moment you understand, death is a liberation, when you clearly understand, I am here to play my role. Let me enjoy playing it. As long as I’m playing, let me enjoy playing it. When I leave, what else can be done? Because I can't carry this I am leaving it to my children. If there is a possibility of exchange offer, exchange, if there is some money exchange, will you you leave a single pie for your kids? Be honest. Will you leave a single pie? Because there is no exchange counter there, you leave all your things to your next generation. If there is an exchange counter like a 45 rupees - 1 Dol, 45 rupees - 1 Dollar, will you leave a single pie? No! Because there is no exchange counter you are leaving it here and going. Then why do you want to use big, big words like duty, Dharma, responsibility? Because you can’t carry, you’re giving it away. Will you give it away if you can carry? Tell me honestly. That is what...

[01:43]

Ramakrishna says a beautiful story. There was a great miser. The guy he used to sell puffed rice. There is a big festival they call it Banigati, Panihati festival in Bengali. In Bengal there is a, there is a big festival they call it Panihati , Panihati festival. In the day people are supposed to purchase the puffed rice and offer it to God and distribute to the poor people. Just like we offer, uhh, food here, in the, in South India. They offer the puffed rice. This miser guy, he will not offer, he is a puffed rice merchant, he will not offer even one handful of puffed rice for any uh poor people or a sadhu. One day big storm came and took away all this puffed rice. It was flying. He’s not able to do anything. Then he says: “Narayana arpanamastu, Narayana arpanamastu, Narayana arpanamastu. Let everything be offered to Narayana. Let everything be offered to Narayana.” Why he says that? Because he can’t do anything else. When Tsunami comes and takes away your properties and boats you say, “Narayana arpanamastu, Narayana arpanamastu”

[03:00]

You are leaving everything and going because you can’t carry, there is no exchange counter. But you claim all big, big words: Responsibility, duty, Dharma. Grihastha Dharma. All these words are just hide and seek words, hide and seek words. So know, be very clear about your boundaries, space. I am playing this game because there is no other way. If there is another way you will naturally play that game. If you can expand your boundary will you ask me this question? You will work for only expansion. “Let him speak all these things. It’s okay but practical purpose we know what to do”. When you can’t expand your boundary, only then you turn? Only when you feel, it is, you can't do anything more, you turn. Now you have turned. At least enjoy this 100 acre. Why should you hit your walls? Why should you hit your compounds? Why should you hit your fence? You have 100 acre. Enjoy. People come and complain Me, tell Me, “My husband is not alright. I can't, I don't know how I’ll run this and that.” I tell them, “You see, at least you have freedom once in a while to come and see me to unload. There are so many people who don't even have that much freedom… don't have that much freedom. And if you... don't think you’ll be happy if you get little bigger space, if you change your atmosphere you’ll be happy. No! With this mind, if you have a biggest space, greater… greatest freedom, again you’ll go and hit the wall only in that place.” For example, you go away somewhere, you stay somewhere, wherever you go and stay, in that space, place, you will start expecting the biggest space.

Listen here. First listen, then you can do. Write ten main points which is making your life as a misery. If you have no point, don’t start worrying about that. Be happy about it. I have seen people who start worrying, ‘O, I have no point, what to do?’ You are already in the happiness. Why do you bother then? Be blissful, that’s all. You see, if you don’t have ten points means you are already in acceptance. It is not that you don’t have problem, you DON’T have problem! You don’t have the mind which creates problem. You are blessed. You are happy. Just enjoy. Just drop from joy to joy, bliss to bliss. over! Just write ten points and then, only for next 24 hours decide strongly you will accept it as it is. You will accept the ten points as they are without expecting as you wanted it to be: just for 24 hours! Write first ten points. It’s okay, your inner qualities can be transformed only by acceptance. Whether it is inner point or outer point-both one and the same, write.

(02:00)

I have always seen people who got married, they write ‘marriage is a problem.’ People who have not married, again they write ‘marriage is a problem.’ You always write opposite thing because you are attracted towards the opposite because you have not seen that. You see, whatever you have not seen, you are attracted to that: whatever it may be. If you have not seen that, you are attracted to it. If you are with full of money, you are attracted towards simple life. Simple life means the life without responsibility. If you don’t have money, you are attracted towards the rich life. Whatever you don’t have, you are attracted towards that. That attracts you.

(02:51)

Paramahamsa is a man who has experienced everything. Ramakrishna says, “A man who has experienced everything, who doesn’t want to have any more experiences, nothing attracts him. He is the person who is Paramahamsa.” Actually if you are living this way, you start thinking, ‘Others are all living that way. Why not me like that? But that guy is thinking you are living like this. Why not like this? A thinks, “Why not my life be like a B?”. B thinks, “Why not my life be like a A?” You may share all with your friends. You share all your sufferings. They say, “Arey! you are much better. Listen my story.” And you feel the... You tell them, “No, no, no. You are much better than this story.” You have some story... You finished writing?

(04:04)

Your life is just a beautiful breeze, but the moment you put this side some pillar, that side some pillar, that side some pillar and try to hold that breeze, the whole thing has become mess… Life is just happening. Let it happen. Let it flow. Let it move. Why should we put it should be this way, it should be that way. Just relax. The moment you relax, I tell you, you will become more responsible because you will start working from different dimension. You will start working from 360 degree. As long as you choose, you will be working only for what you have chosen, what you have chosen. Only when you drop from the choices, you will start working in all the multi-dimensions.

(05:15)

People ask Me, “How do you play that multi-dimensional game, Swamiji? You have so many dimensions. As a teacher, as a caretaker for the group of these ashramites, as a counsellor for so many thousands of devotees’ problems, as a healer and so many thousands of dimensions, so many dimensions.” People ask Me, “How will you play? With this so many dimensions, we will become mad. We can’t even imagine a man can play so many dimensions.” The moment I sit in the throne, I give boons like a God, “I’ll take care. Don’t worry” -Abhaya and Varada. The moment I come down, play like a child, tease the people, play like a child. So many different dimensions. How? Just because I don’t have a choice. I have no choice. So I play the whole thing, whole game.

(06:23)

Simple understanding: Death is liberation. Let us play as long as. The moment death comes, over. Liberated, over! What is there? We don’t have responsibilities anymore. We don’t have to bother who will think about what, who will think what about us. Nothing to bother. Relax. Now all your worries are why? Why, what is the reason you have so many worries, tell Me. Your food, your survival and what people will think about you-the social respect. Main, social respect: what others will think about you. All these things are your headache. Why? Because you are alive. If you pass away, you are free from all these headaches. Why don’t you understand death is a greatest liberation? Actually when it becomes too much, God says all right, now let you rest. It’s a big liberation.

(07:39)

The moment you understand death is a liberation, life becomes celebration. Then you don’t bother now. Even if some people think something about us, what is there? What is there? Is there any problem? No! Let them think. I am going to be here for seventy five years. All of you are sure average seventy five years we all stay here. So I have decided I will be here for hundred and twenty eight years. So when I decided, so play the game, that’s all! For hundred and twenty eight years, whatever games you want to play, play the game, over! Enjoy... just decide. First thing, decide, ‘Let me live happily.’ Everything else is secondary. All the other things, you can sacrifice anything for happiness but never the ananda for anything. Sacrifice anything for ananda but never ananda for anything. Sacrifice the dharma, sacrifice artha, sacrifice the kama for moksha. Sacrifice all your nonsensical concepts of morality, duty, responsibility, all these bullshit. Sacrifice all your concept of dharma, sacrifice all your concept of artha, sacrifice all your concept of kama for this one: ananda. Simply you will see all the three follows you. It’s not that you will sacrifice them, it is not that you will be out of them but you will not be internalising them. You will not give up your ananda for that sake.

(09:37)

It’s not that I don’t handle money. It’s not that I have everything but I am quite happy. Just a small cognitive shift! A simple cognitive shift: you are not bound, death is a big liberation. When you say life is suffering, then why do you hate death? Be relaxed. If you say life is celebration, then enjoy! Why do you bother about death? If you say life is suffering, then why do you bother about death? Don’t bother. If you say life is bliss, enjoy, that’s all! Both the way things are clear. But we make mess, we make mess, we make mess.

(10:37)

Q: But the guilt feeling is always there.

(10:41)

See, the guilt will always be there whatever you do. Even after your death, you will start feeling guilty, ‘I thought my son will take care and wrote the will on his name. Now I am seeing only my daughter is coming and cleaning my samadhi, what to do? Only my daughter built me the granite samadhi. See, this fellow took away all the money and went away to some other city.’ You will have the guilt even after death. It is simply a conscious choice to be little more intelligent. Just be little more intelligent. That is what I call cognitive shift. Cognitive shift is nothing but be little more intelligent. Be little more intelligent.

(11:28)

I know, we always say, “Practically it is too much, Swamiji. We can’t handle.” Just a simple understanding of this cognitive shift, of this cognitive shift. There is nothing to bother. As long as we live here, live happily and don’t bother anything. Don’t bring big, big words into your life. First of all, don’t have some rigid structure as dharma. Don’t have rigid structure-my house should be like this, my family should be like this, my life should be like this. The moment you have a rigid frame, structure, wherever you are, you live only in the hell. The moment you become liquid, when you are there, be totally there; when you are here, be totally here. Wherever you are, just be liquid. Then you will see, you will not have any suffering. All suffering comes because of rigidness. Rigidness is what I call ego.

(12:46)

Don’t support your rigidness with some dead words called scriptures. There are so many scriptures which acts like a steel rod to make your liquid being as a solid RCC. The moment you insert dead words, your liquid being becomes a solid RCC. Don’t insert the guilt. Guilt is the steel rod. Your liquid being will become RCC concrete, the moment you insert the guilt. Just be like a river. Just flow. Don’t have a rigid structure. Just start living chaotically, nothing else. Be as wild as possible. Just start living chaotically. Don’t have any so-called rigid structure how life should be. You will see that you are already liberated.

(14:00)

The main definition for ‘Paramahamsa’ is a man who lives in chaos and creates chaos continuously around him; wWho is in tune with chaos, who loves chaos, goes on creating chaos around him. Chaos is his presence; his presence is chaos. He is just chaos. Actually the Paramahamsa Upanishad says, ‘pishach avastha, balaka avastha, preta avastha.’ Don’t question the chaos. Just start creating chaos. You also become an insider. Then whole problem is solved. I tell you, as long as you question the God, “Why God is so partial? Why so many karmas? Why Sunami? Why this? Why that? Why somebody is rich? Why somebody is poor? Why so much of difference in ...when they have that right, why not me have that right? When they are always around You, why can’t I be around You?” So many nonsense you ask.

(15:17)

As long as you are asking, there will be nobody to even answer. Have you got the answer? You can go on shouting. The ant is shouting, ‘Why this poor elephant is black? I am also black, this elephant is also black. How can God paint this elephant in black colour-my colour? It’s my copyright. How can this elephant be black?’ But elephant will not even know you are shouting. Like this same way only your life. You also live in the same way. You go on question, ‘Why this? Why this? Why this?’ There is nobody to answer. The chaos will be there. Just only one secret you should know. Just become the centre of the chaos and start creating chaos. Just become an insider. You will become God who creates the chaos. No, that is what Bible says. Have you read the Bible? First there was chaos. Then God created the world. Then on the seventh day, he rested into chaos again so that he can continuously go on creating the chaos. If you are afraid of chaos, means you have created a rigid structure, you have created a rigid structure about the life. Life should be like that. The other person is person should be like that.

(17:04)

One person came and asked Me, told Me, “Swamiji, I don’t even have fantasies and imagination about my wife but she is not responding. Even I don't have fantasies. She is not understanding me. She is not accepting me. She is withdrawing herself from me.” Again that she should not withdraw herself from you is also a fantasy. Your expectation that she should understand you is also a fantasy. That is the one more fantasy. That is the one more concept. You have rigid frames. It is time, relax! To relax from the rigid frames. You don’t need to do anything, just relax. Trust that relaxation can happen in you.

(18:10)

We have one more doubt. ‘Now Swami says it is all okay. I can relax but I don’t know afterwards again I become same old personality. What to do, Swamiji? Again I become a same old personality. Again the whole thing comes back, What to do, Swamiji?’ Trust yourself. You can transform your life. When you can transform this moment, when you can feel the transformation and relaxation in this moment, why not next moment?

Q: Actually we have been conditioned to think to be relaxed we are…

(02:04)

Swamiji: You see, now you know you have been conditioned to think if you relax, nothing will happen, something wrong. You know it is a conditioning. That’s why you say we have been conditioned that relaxation is something wrong. When you know it is a conditioning, drop now.

(02:22)

Q: There is a kind of always...

(02:27)

Swamiji: Nothing is wrong in being relaxed. What is wrong? I am the greatest lazy man. Look at here, utterly relaxed. And you say, ‘Ah! there are so many people who take care of you. You can afford laziness, we can’t afford.’ No! I started becoming lazy. Only then people started taking care of Me. Never it is other way, never it is other way. You think, ‘Let people come and take care of Me, then I will become lazy.’ No! Just start, then things will follow. You are trying to put the cart in front of the bullock, cart in front of the bullock. No! Just relax. Let the cognitive shift happen. Things will start happening in you.

(03:23)

And I tell you, total acceptance is respect to life. That is what I say ‘surrenderfulness.’ Not just surrender: surrendering to Me is very easy. Surrender to each and every living being. Surrender to whole life, surrender to whole life. Let whatever wants, let it happen. You think, ‘If I surrender, people will start torturing me.’ Let them torture you. That is what is Tapas. That is what I call Tapas. Any extreme let them go. Surrender, relax. Relax, surrender. The surrenderfulness can transform your whole life. The moment you decide to be in surrenderfulness, the divine happens in your life. Surrenderfulness, relaxing or experiencing the death is a liberation is what I call cognitive shift. From mithya to Nithya, from mithya to Nithya. In Nithya mental set-up, in Nithya mentality, as long as you are here, happy. Life is a celebration, enjoy. The moment death comes, you say, ‘Enough, life is suffering. Let me go and relax.’

(05:02)

Actually in the young age, have you heard a story? In the elementary school, they teach a story. There was a big grapes garden and the wolf or fox? There was a fox which came and tried its best. It was not (0:15) Trust yourself. You can transform your life. Relax and start cherishing the moments in which you feel the peace and the transformation. Instead of counting the moments of problems, you see, ten times you may do a mistake. ten times you may live with understanding. Even this dropping the imagination, if you do a homework, simple homework, write ten time when you dropped imagination and did not create problems. Write ten time when you had imagination and created problems. You would have both in your life but you give more emphasis on your failures instead of your successes.

(06:15)

Understand, you have really succeeded so many times in so many ways. Cherish the moments of your success. Live the moments of your success. When you have succeeded in so many moments, can’t you succeed in other few moments? Simply it can... happen, trust yourself and relax, nothing else! Simply the cognitive shift will start happening. Just be, just a little more energy to relax.

(06:58)

able to get the grapes. Then the fox started shouting, ‘I think these grapes are very sour.’ It ran away. It is an intelligent fox. It knows how not to internalise the failures. It is a very intelligent fox. It knows how not to internalise the problems. It has got tremendous acceptance. That mentality is what I call Nithya. Listen from this one story, over! When you don’t get, say it is sour, over! You are relaxed, you are liberated. When you have it, even it is sour, so tasty, you see, so tasty. when you have it, enjoy. The moment you don’t have it, say it is dirty, sour and liberate yourself, and liberate yourself, over! Just little bit of intelligence. Simple technique. You should meditate on that fox. Just meditate on that fox. Fox coming, trying to catch the grapes, it is not able to get, then it says, ‘No, no, these grapes are sour, bad.’ Just the simple thing, nothing else. All great things which you need to learn is already told to you only in the wrong way.

(07:06)

Now I am commenting on even your elementary school lessons, not only on Shiva Sutras, on your rhymes also I am commenting. I am bringing them back to new life, hmm. I am throwing new light on your school lessons also. Commentaries on elementary school lessons, bhashyas on elementary school lessons because that is where the corruption starts. So I think better I should comment on all the stories of elementary school. All the stories have got such wonderful truth and you are always taught that fox is wrong guy, jealous but understand, such a great value is there, such wonderful truth is existing. You have always taught that fox is wrong, fox is wrong but the fox is the only right guy! If you know just the technique to live like that fox, over! Whole life is joy... Meditate on that fox and get enlightened! Liberate yourself from the problems. So just be little more intelligent. Thank you, next question.

(08:41)

Q: Instead of escapism, if we try to…

(08:45)

Swamiji: Even if we escape, what is the wrong? What is the wrong with escapism?

(08:51)

Q: That means we are trying to escape from our duty. Again we feel guilty.

(09:06)

Swamiji: Even if we escape from commitments, what is the wrong?

(09:12)

Q: We will become anarchist in society.

(09:16)

Swamiji: That is what I tell you, create. You see, one thing. All your ideas about commitment, all your ideas about all these things is not going to help you. Understand, all your words, commitment, all these things again you have some rigid structure. Any rigid structure is not going to liberate you, any rigid structure. One more thing, you think that just because you come away from the society just because you escape, you think the whole society will become anarchy? whole society is going to become anarchy?

(10:01)

Q: At least I have contributed something wrong.

(10:06)

Swamiji: To that? So you think that now because of you, you are contributing something right?

(10:16)

Q: Sometimes Swamiji, we may have to do something so as to not hurt somebody who is very close.

(10:21)

Swamiji: Then okay, do it. Just enjoy. You are not hurting him because he will not hurt you, so that he will not hurt you. Not even not to hurt them, so that they will not hurt us. It is a agreement.

(10:37)

Q: The trick is just to accept that?

(10:41)

Swamiji: No, be very clear. You are doing that so that you will be happy. You are doing it for your happiness.

(10:47)

Q: No, you may feel happy doing certain...something but then in order not to hurt the person who is close to you, you may have to compromise on that.

(10:58)

Swamiji: Okay, if you compromise, what for you compromise? So that he will not hurt you. You compromise and do that not to hurt him so that he will not hurt you in some other way. Am I right? You see, you don’t want to hurt him, why? You just told you will be good to him. You will be good to him.

(11:23)

Q: He is very close to me.

(11:24)

Swamiji: Okay, you love him. If he is hurt, you will feel little disturbed.

(11:29)

Q:Yes.

(11:31)

Swamiji: You will feel disturbed. So you are not hurting him so that you will not feel disturbed. Am I right?

(11:38)

Q: Is it right to do that?

(11:39)

Swamiji: Perfectly alright. So you are doing it for your happiness.

(11:43)

Q: But at that time you will feel you have sacrificed something for that person’s sake.

(11:48)

Swamiji: Then understand, you are not sacrificing, you are not sacrificing. You are doing it for your own happiness. Then you will not now feel that you are sacrificing. That’s all!

(12:00)

And one thing. The person who has got, who feels he has got responsibility never does his responsibility because he is just locked. His mind is not free and the man who liberates himself...I think yesterday’s discourse, I was...selling time, selling product, all these things, selling time, all these things are commitments. Escaping, actually the escaping word itself is condemning word. That is why in India we have beautiful word-’Paramahamsa’. Any moment you can become parivrajaka. That is why in India, suicide rate is so less and depression is so less. Any moment you can become vagabond. You are respected, you are respected. In the West, you are called homeless. In the East you are called Vasudaiva Kutumbakaha. In the West, if you have dropped out from the society, you are called hippie-long hair, hippie and homeless. In the East, if you drop out of the society, you are called ‘Paramahamsa’ and your whole world as your home - ‘sadhu’, whole world as your home.

(13:30)

And one more thing, when you really escape, the cognitive shift happens, the big cognitive shift happens in you. You become totally responsible, totally responsible. You have seen in your life lakhs of people. Be honest, have you seen anybody who is more responsible than Me? In My age, have you seen Me anybody who is more responsible? Let you be honest. You are very clear, hmm? I am responsible person? Now I will tell you the formula. Escape!... Now I give you the path, escape! This is the formula. You will become such a beautiful, responsible, person, not only for you, whomsoever comes in front of you, you will start feeling responsible for them. How do you think healing happens?

(14:31)

Q: Swamiji, You have tremendous compassion.

(14:33)

Swamiji: That happens only when you escape. Escapism is one of the main ingredient for the alchemy to happen. You see, if you want to purify the gold, you are supposed to add some...what to say...that...very,,,acids which creates very...which creates worst effects on you, which is poison. Arsenic acids you are supposed to add. If you have an idea, ‘Oh, this acid is arsenic. How can I add that into the gold? It has to be purified. This gold is 22 carat. It has to become 24 carat. I should add only milk and the ghee and butter which is good things, not the arsenic acid,’ Will the gold be purified? So for the gold to become pure, you need to add only that stuff. So escapism is… you understand escapism as a poison-just like arsenic acid but that is the greatest, that is the only purifier, the greatest purifier which can purify you. Now for the alchemy, you need to add that. What to do? Will you say, ‘No, no. I will add only milk. I will pour only ghee, I will pour only Panchamrita and do the...I will wait for the gold to become pure,’ will ever it happen? No, pour the acid. That is the only way for cleaning it, purifying it.

(16:17)

So be very clear. This compassion happens to you only when you drop. How do you think healing happens? The moment they come in front of Me, I feel responsible. I feel responsible for their pain. First of all, understand, compassion itself happens only when I feel responsible. I feel it. Why I feel responsible for everyone? Because I dropped the small ‘i’ responsibility. Commitment of small ‘i’, duty of the small ‘i’, responsibility of the small ‘i’, if it is dropped, simply something happens in you. You take the responsibility of big ‘I’, commitment of big ‘I’, the duty of the big ‘I’ comes up on you. You expand.

(17:12)

Q: So even if you take commitments, you will not be…

(17:15)

Swamiji: Bound. And one thing, only when you drop, you will not be violent. As long as you think you have a duty, you will be violent towards your children. When you work for them, when you create wealth for them, you wanted them to act as you want. You force them, you say, ‘Arey! For you guy I have worked. I have done all these things. Do as I want.’ You force them. You want them to do as you want. So all your idea of duty, commitment is nothing but the expression of your violence and it will lead to violence. From violence to violence.

(18:00)

Now it is time to escape you and liberate your- so-called people to whom you are committed or the so-called people to whom you think you are committed. Escape and liberate them. When you escape, they are liberated. They also will forgive you. You also will escape from them. So drop out. You will see a new ‘I’ is happening in you, new ‘I’ is happening in you. I say, ‘Break as a seed, the tree will sprout,’ but you say, ‘No, no, no. Let the tree sprout, only then I will break as a seed.’ Tree can never happen unless the seed breaks. Can the tree happen unless the seed breaks? No! Understand, the moment you understand death is a liberation, life becomes celebration! You start living intensely because the new energy has come. The cognitive shift has happened in you. When the new energy comes, be very clear, the cognitive shift has happened in you.

One thing, be very clear. From the beginning, you are so much conditioned to do things. Now you started doing so many things you do not know how to stop it. So all your meditation is only helping you to learn how to stop doing things. Actually you are continuously doing something. So meditation is just going to help you to stop doing all these things. If you can really stop, immediately you will become Enlightened. But you are habituated, conditioned so much to do, you do not know how to stop.

(01:03)

So I add little acid which is called meditation to make you stop doing. Ananda Spurana is continuously happening, ma. You are stopping it. I request you to stop the stopping process. You don’t have to create ananda spurana. Ananda spurana is happening. All you do in the ananda spurana day, that two days program is, all you do is you are stopping the stopping process of stopping the ananda spurana. You are continuously stopping it. For the two days, through all these meditations, I tell you not to stop it, that’s all! So you are really relaxing when you meditate.

(01:52)

Q: Tremendous conditioning has gone in. So much of unlearning...

(01:57)

Swamiji: When you know so much of unlearning is required, when you know the tremendous conditioning has gone in, just drop.

(02:05)

Q: Vasanas, Swamiji

(02:07)

Swamiji: Ha, again, when you know it is vasanas, drop! Drop it. Drop it, that’s all. Just drop it.

(02:24)

Q: Only thing is that intelligence is required.

(02:28)

Q: and practice.

(02:29)

Q: What are vasanas?

(02:31)

Swamiji: Hmm, vasana? Don’t think perfume. Vasana means the old mental set ups, hangovers.

(02:41)

Q: Is it the same as samskaras?

(02:44)

Swamiji: Yes, samsara, samskara all one and the same. Samsara creates samskara; samskara creates samsara. Samskara wants samsara; samsara creates samskara. And it is like a doctor wants medical shop; medical shop wants doctors. Now you wrote down the miseries?

(03:09)

Sit straight. No, just close your eyes. And don’t think them as miseries. They are miseries as long as you want something else. When you do not want the other, opposite of that, they are just life. That is your life. You make life as a miserable, as a misery by wanting something else. Something else is always death. If it is something else than your life, it is just death. Why do you want death in life? Only when you want death in life, you start suffering. Respect the life as it happens to you, as it is.

(04:20)

Take few minutes. Remember one by one all the ten problems and just feel, ‘Let it be as it is. This is the way it is. That is the way it will be. Relax, just relax.’ For few minutes decide, ‘just this half an hour, I will not try to change.’ When you go out, you can do all your other games. This half an hour, decide, ‘I am not going to change anything. I will accept as it is.’ If you feel you are not able to accept, accept at least that. ‘I am not able to accept.’ Even that much acceptance is okay. If you can accept, accept it. If you are not able to, then accept that I am not able to accept.

(05:19)

Let all the external sufferings and internal sufferings be as it is. Whether it is external conflict or internal conflict, let it be there... It becomes conflict only when you have, only when you want something else, only when you have other choices. Decide clearly for this next half an hour, ‘I am not going to struggle internally or externally. Whatever problems are there in the outer world, in the inner world, let it be there. For only next half an hour, I am not going to struggle. I decide I will relax. Whatever is in the outer world or in the inner world, let them all be there.’ Don’t fight with your thoughts. Don’t fight with your mind. If your mind is chaotic, accept that, don’t fight with it. Let it be chaotic. If possible, create some more chaos. Then it will become silent. Give some more difficulties and complications. It will simply become silent.
