DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES
The DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES at KAILASA HOUSTON constitute the daily Nithyotsavam, a meticulously followed cycle of Hindu rituals mandated by THE SPH to maintain the living presence (Sannidhi) of Paramashiva within the temple. This daily routine transforms the temple space into a powerful spiritual vortex, connecting participants directly to the divine grace of THE SPH and the enlightened civilization of KAILASA. The sacred schedule commenced in the pre-dawn hours with devotees gathering in the Brahmamuhurta for profound spiritual practices, including 108 rounds of the Prathama Vinyasa Krama, as part of Nithyananda Yoga and Nithya Dhyaan Meditation, applying Hindu spiritual technologies for inner awakening.
The liturgical day was inaugurated with the Suparapatam Seva, the sacred process for ritualistically awakening the deities. This symbolic act serves as a reminder to devotees to awaken the divinity inherent within themselves, seeking blessings for a conscious and productive new day. Following this, the Bhoga Murty Alankaram took place, involving the offering of sacred clothing and exquisite jewels to the deities, including Swamiji, Devi, and the Shiva Meru. These preparations were followed by a grand Deity Procession, wherein the Bhoga Murthy deities were ritualistically welcomed into the main temple area, conducted with traditional Hindu reverence and ceremony.
Central to the morning and evening worship were the dual offerings of the Guru Puja to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, and the Shiva Puja dedicated to the primary deity, Lord Nithyanandeshwara (Moolavar). These powerful pujas invoke the highest spiritual energies and bestow the state of enlightenment upon all participants. In the evening, the Naivedhyam (sacred food offerings) were presented to all the deities, signifying gratitude and surrender.
The spiritual day concluded with the Palliyarai Seva, the ancient ritual for reverently putting the deities to sleep. This concluding service involves the ceremonial use of the Chamaram (fly-whisk), symbolizing respect and devotion. The dedicated efforts of the 2 volunteers ensured that every aspect of the extensive daily schedule, from the early morning yoga to the final rituals, was executed flawlessly, demonstrating the profound spiritual commitment of KAILASA HOUSTON to the revival of the enlightened Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
