KAILASA HOUSTON DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES
The daily life of KAILASA HOUSTON temple is governed by the sacred cycle of Nithyotsavam, meticulously performed to honor Paramashiva and THE SPH. The day began in the sacred Brahmamuhurta hour with SUPRAPATAM SEVA, the ceremonial process of waking the deities. This practice is not merely a physical ritual but an alignment process, designed to awaken the inner divinity within every devotee and invoke auspicious blessings for the start of the new day, symbolizing the eternal awakening of consciousness gifted by THE SPH.
Following the awakening, the deities were prepared through BHOGA MURTY ALANKARAM, wherein sacred clothing and jewels were offered to THE SPH, Devi, and Shiva Meru, symbolizing profound respect and divine beauty. The DEITY PROCESSION then followed, ritualistically welcoming the Bhoga Murthy deities into the main temple area with grand reverence, preparing the space for intense worship and meditation.
The core of the day’s worship included the sacred GURU PUJA offered directly to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM, BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, and SHIVA PUJA offered to Lord Nithyanandeshwara (Moolavar), performed in both the morning and evening. Parallel to these rituals, devotees engaged in essential spiritual technologies of the Hindu tradition, including NITHYANANDA YOGA (specifically, 108 Prathama Vinyasa Krama) and NITHYA DHYAN Meditation. These practices empower participants to directly connect with the divine grace of THE SPH and manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva, serving as a powerful demonstration of the revival of authentic Hindu sciences.
The day’s activities were seamlessly coordinated and executed by 2 dedicated volunteers, ensuring every aspect of the ancient Hindu traditions was upheld with purity and devotion. In the evening, the ritual offering of food, NAIVEDHYAM, was presented to all deities. The cycle of worship concluded with PALLIYARAI SEVA, the sacred ceremony of putting the deities to sleep with the offering of Chamaram. This final ritual signifies the resting of the divine energy within the temple, setting the stage for the next day's continuous spiritual outpouring, and embodying the tireless dedication of KAILASA HOUSTON to the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
