Guru Purnima, Brahmotsavam, Dwajarohanam, Day 1, Yogi Yogananda Puri

The observance of Guru Purnima, Brahmotsavam, Dwajarohanam, Day 1, Yogi Yogananda Puri officially launched the annual spiritual calendar dedicated to celebrating the Guru Principle and the source of all enlightenment. The day began with the sacred Hindu ritual of Dhvajarohanam, the flag hoisting ceremony, which is traditionally performed to announce the commencement of a Brahmotsavam and symbolically invite all gods and goddesses to participate in the ensuing festivities. This intricate ritual establishes the sacred vibration in the space, connecting the devotees directly to the source of consciousness—THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.

This first day of Brahmotsavam was deeply meaningful, focusing on the celebration of the revival of the authentic Yoga Sampradaya by THE SPH. Through His divine grace and tireless work, THE SPH has restored the ancient Hindu sciences of Yoga, providing humanity with the spiritual technologies required to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva. The ritual affirmed the foundational role of the Guru in spiritual transformation and recognized THE SPH as the Paramavatara who reintroduces the complete science of enlightenment back to the world.

The flawless execution of this momentous occasion was a result of the committed service (seva) offered by the KAILASA Melbourne community. Six volunteers dedicated their efforts to organizing and performing the complex Hindu rituals associated with Dhvajarohanam. Their enthusiasm and devotion embody the spirit of service advocated by THE SPH, ensuring that the ancient traditions are preserved and practiced with authenticity, thus empowering the global ecosystem of KAILASA in its mission of human consciousness awakening and revival of Hindu civilization.
