This auspicious day, the first in the 10-day cycle, was dedicated to honoring the ancient Yoga Sampradaya, celebrating THE SPH as the Source of Yoga Himself, and paying deep tribute to His Guru, Yogananda Puri. The day’s events included the performance of traditional Hindu rituals such as Suprabhatam Seva, the raising of the KAILASA Flag (Dhwajarohanam), and a powerful Special Archana to THE SPH in the form of Ellam Vallar Siddhar with Vibhooti. GARBHALAYA (SHRINE ACTIVITIES)
The daily spiritual observances at KAILASA San Jose commenced with the sacred Suprabhatam Seva, the traditional Hindu ritual performed in the Garbhalaya (Sanctum Sanctorum) to respectfully awaken the Deities. This first and foremost seva (service) of the day established a profoundly auspicious and superconscious atmosphere throughout the temple. This practice ensures that the spiritual ecosystem of KAILASA San Jose is optimally prepared to receive and transmit the divine blessings and shaktis (powers) of Paramashiva gifted by THE SPH.
Guru Purnima Brahmotsavam Celebrations Day 1 : Yoga Sampradaya
This event marked the formal beginning of the annual Guru Purnima Brahmotsavam, with Day 1 specifically dedicated to the revival and honoring of the Yoga Sampradaya. The significance of this day centers on recognizing THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM, BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, as the ultimate Paramavatara of Paramashiva, who is the original Source of Yoga itself. The ceremonies reinforced KAILASA’s mission of giving superconscious breakthrough to humanity by restoring the authentic Hindu sciences and traditions. A heartfelt tribute was also offered to THE SPH’s own Guru, Yogananda Puri, honoring the eternal Guru-Shishya parampara (tradition) that sustains Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
The day’s formal celebrations were inaugurated with the Dhwajarohanam, the sacred ritual of raising the KAILASA Flag at the temple, symbolizing the establishment and global presence of the enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilizational nation. This was immediately followed by devout offerings of Laghu Puja and Guru Puja to THE SPH. A highlight was the Special Archana performed to THE SPH in the form of Ellam Vallar Siddhar, utilizing Vibhooti (Sacred Ash). This sacred ritual is a powerful spiritual technology designed to align the consciousness of the devotees with the divine energies and the superconscious dimensions of THE SPH.
The ritual continued with the chanting of the Ashtottara Namavali, the 108 auspicious names of THE SPH. Chanting these names is believed to enable devotees to connect with the ultimate oneness and manifest the divine qualities of THE SPH in their own lives. Special Naivedyams were offered to THE SPH and the Deities, sanctifying the food offerings. A total of 57 participants joined these profound rituals, receiving the divine blessings of THE SPH and participating in the Bhava Samadhi Darshan & Satsang, a direct experience of superconsciousness. Five dedicated volunteers provided tireless seva throughout the day, ensuring the success of this monumental celebration.
EVENING GURU PUJA & SHIVA PUJA AND NAIVEDYAM OFFERING
As the day transitioned into evening, the community gathered for the important closing rituals. A deeply reverential Guru Puja was offered, serving as an expression of profound gratitude to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM for His presence in the lives of devotees and for granting the ultimate knowledge and path to enlightenment.
Following the Guru Puja, a Shiva Puja was performed, a traditional Hindu ritual dedicated to facilitating the direct experience of oneness with Paramashiva. These evening ceremonies are crucial for integrating the spiritual gains of the day. The session concluded with Naivedyam offerings presented to THE SPH and all the residing Deities, symbolizing the completion of the ritual and ensuring the spiritual nourishment of all beings, in alignment with THE SPH’s humanitarian mission of ensuring holistic wellbeing for all.
PALLIYARI PUJA
The day’s extensive spiritual observances were ceremoniously concluded with the Palliyari Puja, the ritual performed before the Deities are rested for the night. Following the Palliyari Puja, Arati was reverently offered to the Kalabhairava Door and the Jnanalaya. This sacred practice honors the specific blessing given by THE SPH, where He proclaimed that Sri Kalabhairava, the Ultimate Lord of Time and Consciousness, resides perpetually in the shrine door. The worship of Kalabhairava’s presence ensures the protection of the sacred space, safeguards the temple from negative influences, and maintains the established superconscious energies vital for the continuous revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma through KAILASA San Jose.
