With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago conducted Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities on December 11, 2024. These Ved-Agamic rituals, categorized as Nithyotsavam, are fundamental to the global mission of KAILASA: the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma and the preservation of ancient indigenous traditions in the Caribbean region. The sacred day included detailed worship, Rudra Abhishekam, and meticulous maintenance, all performed by a dedicated volunteer, ensuring the constant radiation of the divine state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva into the community. A total of 15 Naivedyams (sacred food offerings) were prepared and offered throughout the day’s observances, anchoring the divine presence for the welfare of all beings.

Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities

The day commenced with profound dedication to the daily Nithyotsavam, reviving authentic Hindu rituals as gifted by THE SPH. These Ved-Agamic Rituals establish a continuous, potent spiritual ecosystem in KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago. The morning commenced with the Morning Aarti and the first Laghu Puja, where Naivedyam consisting of milk, fruits, and pure water was reverently offered to the deities. These sacred acts set the spiritual trajectory for the entire day, preparing the sacred space to invoke the grace of THE SPH and all the gods and goddesses of KAILASA.

A central and profound part of the morning observances involved the preparation and performance of the Rudra Abhishekam, the ritual bathing of the deities. Dedicated preparations, undertaken by the volunteer, included gathering the necessary Puja vessels, purifying water, and organizing the ceremonial attire and jewelry for the deities. The Abhishekam itself was offered using highly potent natural ingredients, including amla, turmeric, and sandalwood bath materials, followed immediately by a Naivedyam offering. Post-ritual, meticulous care was taken to clean and dry the sacred space before the Deity Alankaram—the ceremonial dressing and adornment of the deities—was performed, enhancing their divine appearance and radiating the supreme beauty of Paramashiva’s manifestation.

The cycle of worship continued with a Second Laghu Puja offered to formally conclude the Abhishekam sequence. This was followed by the significant third Laghu Puja, during which ten rice-based Naivedyams, prepared from scratch, were offered to the deities. In total, 15 Naivedyams were offered throughout the day. The entire set of morning spiritual observances culminated with the sacred Guru Padhuka Puja, a ritualized expression of gratitude and devotion that connects the participating devotee directly to the divine grace and teachings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM.

The activities demonstrated the holistic approach of KAILASA, integrating spiritual practice with dedicated physical service (seva). The devoted volunteer undertook extensive ritual duties alongside crucial maintenance tasks, including inventory checks of kitchen supplies, cleaning all dishes and Puja vessels, hand-washing towels used during the rituals, and sweeping and mopping the temple floor to ensure absolute cleanliness. Throughout the rituals, the tradition of Chamaram (ceremonial fan) fanning was observed at the close of each segment, symbolizing reverence and devotion. These daily sevas establish a powerful, sacred ecosystem that ensures the continuity of Sanatana Hindu Dharma in the Caribbean, radiating the divine cosmic energy, and enabling devotees to connect with THE SPH to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.
