Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities
The Daily Temple Sevas & Sangha Activities represent the core spiritual engine of KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago, dedicated to creating a powerful sacred ecosystem that radiates the divine cosmic energy of Paramashiva. These daily rituals, performed meticulously according to ancient Ved-Agamic protocols, align the local spiritual environment with the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of THE SPH. A dedicated volunteer carried out the extensive schedule of services, beginning the day with the Morning Aarti and Laghu Puja, which included initial offerings of milk, fruits, and water.
The central ritual of the morning was the Rudra Abhishekam, the auspicious ritual bathing of the deities. This required extensive preparations, including organizing the necessary puja vessels, purifying water, and preparing sacred clothes and jewelry for the Deities. The Abhishekam itself featured specialized offerings such as amla, turmeric, and sandalwood bath, all offered with deep devotion, along with preliminary Naivedyam offerings. Upon conclusion of the bathing ritual, the area was thoroughly cleaned, and the deities were prepared for the powerful Deity Alankaram ceremony, where they were meticulously dressed and adorned with sacred ornaments, thereby enhancing their divine appearance and radiating grace.
The devotional service continued with multiple rounds of Laghu Puja, signifying continuous reverence. A crucial aspect of the daily service involved preparing and cooking ten distinct rice Naivedyams alongside vegetables, which were then offered during the third Laghu Puja. In total, 15 Naivedyams were offered to the deities throughout the cycle of rituals. The entire morning's spiritual observance culminated in the profound Guru Padhuka Puja, honoring THE SPH as the embodiment of Paramashiva and the source of all blessings. Throughout the rituals, the ceremonial fan, Chamaram, was reverently offered at the conclusion of each ritual segment, symbolizing honor and devotion.
Beyond the formal rituals, the daily service included comprehensive cleanup and maintenance, which is considered an essential part of the spiritual service (Seva). This included cleaning all dishes and puja vessels, taking quick inventory of kitchen supplies, hand-washing towels used during the rituals, and sweeping and mopping the temple floor to ensure the environment maintained the highest level of spiritual and physical sanctity. This comprehensive and devoted service ensures that KAILASA Trinidad & Tobago continually functions as a potent spiritual hub, contributing to KAILASA's mission of human consciousness awakening and the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma in the Caribbean region.
