Title:

Life and Career Are Not Seperate

Narration

On this day’s Presidential Address-Nithyananda Satsang, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam discussed the importance of responsibility. SPH shared that without taking responsibility for our lives we cannot build anything firm or lasting. Our work and our personal lives should be equally founded on the ethics of responsibility. When we are fully responsible, our lives unfold into a continuous tapestry of satisfaction: and when we ooze satisfaction we inspire and raise the spirits of everyone around us.

That day’s Presidential Address-Nithyananda Satsang was conducted by the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam on 26 March 2012, in Adi Kailasa, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Description:

26th March 2012, In today's morning satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) discusses the importance of responsibility. Without taking responsibility for our lives we cannot build anything firm or lasting. Our work and our personal lives should be equally founded on the ethic of responsibility. When we are fully responsible, our lives unfold into a continuous tapestry of satisfaction: and when we ooze satisfaction we inspire and raise the spirits of everyone around us.

Let Me read the question. ’”Beloved Swamiji, I have a question regarding the ‘corporate world’. How can we embed spiritual and social goals into an organization’s innovation agenda and processes? How can an organization encourage social responsibility and social entrepreneurship?

(4:47)

First, Rafik, You need to understand, life is not capitalistic. Life is neither Capitalistic nor Communist or Socialist. Please understand, Capitalism teaches the ownership - who owns is a big guy. Communism teaches - whether you work or not, everything belongs to you. Communism is the way of ‘Tamas’; means, inertia, inertness. Why should you have? Whether I work or not, let me also have. Let us equalize. Then what is really life, what life believes in? Does it believe in capitalism or communism? No. Understand, the major components of your life like disease, death, contentment, life satisfaction. Just like job satisfaction, something called ‘life satisfaction’. I wanted to tell you, important component of life is ‘life satisfaction’ which is neither capitalist nor communist.

(6:04)

Life is...principles of life is neither Capitalistic nor Communistic. Capitalism says, ‘Man who has is a big guy.’ Communism says everybody is equal. The principles of life says, ‘Man who takes the responsibility has the right to enjoy. That’s all. Not man who owns has the right to enjoy. Not the man who can grab has the right to enjoy. No. Man who takes the responsibility has the right to live. Understand. All your questions related to money, all the parts of your life impacted by money; those problems, attend with the principles of your country’s ‘ism’ - Capitalism or Communism. If you are in China and you have a problem about money, you have to find solution through Communism. If you are in India, you have a problem about money, you need to find a solution through Capitalism, the principles of Capitalism.

(7:32)

But, if you have a problems related to life, health, life satisfaction, happenings of life, whether it’s a birth, death, mental health; as I said, the life satisfaction, fulfillment in the life, there are so many things related to life, those life's principles; if you have a problem related to life’s principles, find solution with this truth - “Man who takes the responsibility, has a right to enjoy”. This is the principle of life. If you have questions about disease, desires, karma, questions related to life, why somebody has so much of mental peace; some other people don’t have it, why some people have so much of life satisfaction, some people don’t have it.

(8:52)

Do you know the most important recent survey happened? World’s happiest country is India based on the survey by UNESCO. They have done a very beautiful survey. Taking specimens from all backgrounds; giving them a long questionnaire. Finally, end of the survey, they say, ‘World’s most happiest country', means more number of people report life satisfaction. For all these questions, questions related to life, life satisfaction, the principle of life need to be understood.

(9:51)

One more thing, I wanted to remind. If you want to infuse the life principles into your corporate place, in your workplace; Understand few things. First thing you need to know. Capitalism degenerates into narrow self interest without a strong ethical foundation. With Capitalism you do not have a strong ethical foundation. In all your thinking process and evolution infuse responsibility. Let every person who is part of your organization, be told about his responsibility. Spend at least one hour on making everybody understand their responsibility. Please understand, never think if you take away one hour, then the productivity is lost. No.

(11:11)

I am taking every day five hours from all My ashramites, whoever is part of My Sangha. Whether you are a volunteer or a Ashramite or a Rishi or a Sannyasi, every morning I am there with them. Morning five to ten, at least two hours I am personally involved; where their physical, mental, spiritual identities are enriched. The physical identity is body. Mental identity is your thoughts whether depressed or excited. The spiritual identity is your consciousness. Every morning, I make sure that they spend five hours enriching all the three.

(14:14)

The corporate company will think, ‘Oh God, morning is the time to work and this Swami is keeping them sitting idly till ten o’clock. It is not a right corporate decision. No. I tell you, every morning you are reminded about your life and responsibility; and I also wanted to tell you one thing. If you can wake up every morning, 5 o'clock and go to Akhada, all the engrams which makes you irresponsible in your life will be killed. Because, every demon who is sitting inside you, will be alive, up by 5 o'clock, before you.

(14:55)

When you want to get up, they will be fighting you. "Why should I get up? What am I going to do? No no no, Swamiji said. No I don't like him. No no no no, your health. Even if I die early, what is there? No no no no no, your spiritual growth. Who cares for enlightenment?" See, all the demons, who is sitting with you, you have to fight; only then you can get out of your bed! You don't know, just around your bed, some 25 fellows are standing with a sword! One fellow says, "Eh! What is there? Are you a slave or what? Every day you have to get up, and go there; and that same yoga teacher will be standing." A second sword comes, "Eh! One day if I miss, what is there? After all today...why? My next bed guy, see, this fellow doesn't attend, four times a week. I only miss, only once a week." That is a second sword.

(16:11)

So many demons are standing around you! I tell you, all these demons are only the patterns, which never lets you take responsibility in your life. You will see, the same demon only, will come with a different sword. When you are in the workplace, "Eh! why are you working like a slave? If you don't do this, what is there? After all, your next chair person don't do. It's okay. Anyhow, Swamiji will not come here and supervise. Even if he comes, we know how to manage him." You can always escape. Find out some reasons which he cannot verify. I tell you, exactly the patterns, which makes you never take the responsibility of life and life's principles. They will be awake, alive, between 4:30 to 6. Just like your whole day's mood is controlled by time-see, you can see very clearly-morning 9 o'clock, if you are habituated to go to office, you will be agitated. For all you guys now, even if one or two days are...two days...there is no Satsang for morning 7 o'clock, you will feel sleepy, because every day the hab...

(17:35)

Anyhow, morning if you break the Tamas, you will break many of the patterns, which does not let you take the responsibility of life. I really tell you, very sincerely I recommend this to all corporate companies. Morning when you gather for your work, whether it is 7 o'clock or 8 o'clock or 9 o'clock. Some companies gather 8 o'clock, some gather 9 o'clock, some even 10 o'clock; whatever time, first one hour, spend making everybody responsible, for what they are. Not just, the work they are supposed to do that day. No! Make themself fit with their clear understanding about, what they want from society and what society wants from them, their requirements from society, society's requirements from them. Means, everybodys living in a society; in your society-your family, your boss, your subordinates-what they all need from you and what you need from them. Understand, you are there, only because you need something from them. You are always there, in any situation only when you need something from them. Not otherwise. When you need something from them, be responsible to offer what they need from you.

(19:13)

Constantly, I am taking the responsibility of the well-being of every Ashramite. Constantly, I am thinking, working, building their bodies, even if they don't want. Understand, let every individual, feel the responsibility. Let every individual look into the responsibility. (Advertisement)

(26:01)

Corporate organizations will be successful, only when every individual understand the princ...understands the principles of life, not otherwise. You might have trained him, spending lakhs and lakhs of rupees, thousands and thousands of dollars; but suddenly he's depressed...what can you do? All your investments on him is waste! So when you train people to do certain work, train them also, first to live, to be alive.

(26:48)

I can give this two-as a technique to all corporate companies. Make sure, everybody who is part of your organization, wakes up-morning, 5 o'clock. Because, at that time, they will have to kill so many demons. They will have to break so many patterns, which will be a powerful training for them, to break patterns in their day...everyday life. When you learn the method to break patterns - the moment you wake up, early morning - your knife of destroying the patterns-your consciousness-will be sharp and alive whole day. You will go on be cutting patterns. This is one.

(27:44)

Next, one hour, when you gather for work, one hour, they have to understand life principles; why they are here, the way they are here, what the society around them expects from them, what they expect from the society around them. Then you will understand, everything is a business, pure give and take. When you understand, everything is a business and pure give and take, you will be cleaned from many of the pseudo sentiments.

(28:32)

Many workers feel they are sacrificing for the company. Many companies feel they are sacrificing for workers. All these pseudo sacrifice sentiments will disappear. Many parents feel they are sacrificing for their children and children feel, "You don't need to sacrifice for me, I am only sacrificing for you."-this forced sacrifice. Sometimes I see parents say, "Oh I sacrificed my whole life for you. Don't become a Sanyasi, be here". Children say, "No no no, I don't...we don't want your sacrifice, we are becoming Sadhus, you please keep your sacrifice". "No, you have to be here as I want and then I'll sacrifice as I want!" All these pseudo sacrifice will disappear, whether it is the company or the society. When you understand what you need to give and what you expect, lot of our concepts of pseudo sacrifice disappears. And not only that, you see, when your concepts of pseudo sacrifice disappears, they don't just go alone, they take away many of your weak sentiments.

(29:49)

Vivekananda says, "Weak sentiments are death!" They take away many of your weak sentiments. You get cleaned by the weak sentiments. A man, whose life is not built on weak principles, will always be successful. See, it's like a, you try to build your building's foundation, on weak sand, building won't stand. But if you make a strong foundation and build, building will stand. Same way, the principles of your life should not carry weak sentiments, sentiments which does not stand, more than one function, ceremony or celebration or ritual. No, sometime I see, there are many of these kind of a weak sentiments, becomes part of your life's principles. Look at your own life. Know, some of the ideas, ventures, relationships, you are jumping into are not going to be long lasting, are not going to be leading you to the stable life...life satisfaction. Knowing it, you say, "It's okay. Now let me somehow push this. That's all". After that? "Eh. We'll face it". (Advertisement)

(34:37)

Doing things, which are not for long term, doing things which are not, for the principles of life. I tell you, you cannot have separate principles for your life, and separate principles for a corporate company-your workplace. No. Your workplace is a major part of your life. You need a integrated principle. Only way to have an integrated principle is, every morning when you gather for work, at-least spend one hour understanding responsibility. If you are a devotee and running a corporate company, I tell you, this one hour will not reduce your productivity. Every day morning, sit and you yourself head that meeting, discuss, discuss, discuss. Let every staff, worker, imbibe this principle in their life-principle of responsibility. Only after I started My morning Satsang, even a Sangha started evolving around Me. Till then, there was no Sangha. It was like, group of people sitting here for various reasons. Only now, everybody's motive is aligned, to one truth. This alignment, when it happens between two persons, it is not one plus one, two. No. It is one plus one, eleven. Understand. When a understanding happens between one plus one, it is two; when alignment happens between one plus one, it is eleven. When at-onement happens between one plus one, it is explosion. It's atomic explosion. Understanding, alignment, at-onement. When consciously melting disciple meets with a consciously awakened being, it is explosion. That is what has happened, between Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. When they both met, the explosion happened-this Ramakrishna Movement. I am waiting for my Vivekanandas. Of course, I know, for sure, each one of you guys will become Vivekanandas.

(37:55)

Few people, understanding is happening, very few alignment is happening. See, if you, if the understanding has happened, you have become plus of My organization, If alignment is happening, you have become, plus plus means, into, squares of My organization. If at-onement is happening, you become squares and cubic...cubes of very Me, not just My organization, Sangha. Honesty and Authenticity needed. Just honesty may be, will make you, to the level of understanding. But only when the Authenticity starts happening, alignment; from alignment then happens at-onement. For each corporate company, the alignment into the life's principles is a basic need; whether...where neither Capitalism nor Communism works.

(39:13)

If you want to live healthily, take responsibility of your body. If you want to live happily, take responsibility of your mind. If you want to explore into the zones of consciousness, take responsibility of your spiritual entity. If you want wealth, take the responsibility of spending your time in that direction. Take the responsibility. Chisel your whole life, with a hammer called responsibility, with a tool called responsibility.

Aghori - Whistleblowers of Maya

Transcript:

(04:16)

Today I will speak about the Aghori Sampradaya in depth, our own sampradaya. Please understand, I Myself physically never ate human flesh, never smoked marijuana, never drank the urine. I Myself never did any of this but all the principles of Aghora sampradaya, the spiritual principles of Aghori sampradaya I have experienced in depth. My own predecessor Bhagwan Yogi Ramsurat Kumar, a great Yogi, My godfather himself is Aghori, always used to live in the cremation grounds of Tiruvannamalai. I will speak different aspects of Aghori sampradaya, their principles, basic attitude towards Enlightenment, their lifestyle, spiritual practices, food habits, the language they use, the concepts they explain, the place they live. I will speak on every step of Aghori sampradaya. I have some of the video clippings collected from YouTube. I also give My thanks to YouTube and other copyright owners of these video clippings for bringing Aghori sampradaya to life and to light. All I am trying to do is approach them with a little respect. Don't condemn anybody before looking in depth.

(06:35)

Aghoris never killed people, they were never violent. I can say, in a way, they only disposed the dead bodies and reduced the load on human society. Whatever you don't want, dump, they disposed it. They reduced the load of human society. They never waged wars. They never killed people. Only when somebody is dead naturally, to liberate that person, they consumed a bit of that human flesh. Understand, when that human flesh is consumed, the person is liberated from all the bio-memories. It is literally powerful way of liberating and not only that, your stomach, intestine is the place where you are vulnerable to your bio-memory.

(07:47)

Please understand, any signal which de-stabilises your intelligence from enlightenment starts from your navel. Whether lust, anger, agitation, greed, fear, anything which takes you away from your enlightenment centredness, takes your mind away from enlightenment, takes you away from super consciousness, that signals, those engrams starts from your navel. If your navel is powerful enough to digest human flesh itself and makes the human flesh part of its own flesh, it will be so strong, it will not allow any bio-memory, any signal which will de-stabilize you from your consciousness. Please understand, if your navel, either it should be soft enough to digest even prana and convert it into Samana, means pure vegetarian stomach, pure Satvik or most powerful, even human flesh will be digested, will become part of its body but if you are in between, you are caught. If you can only digest animal flesh, if you have the habit of only digesting the animal flesh, neither you have a sensitivity to digest pure prana or the strength of digesting human flesh, you are caught.

(09:52) to (13:37)

Program announcements

(13:37)

Digesting pure prana means ability to live without food, directly taking energy from the air. Then your whole stomach will be so sensitive. If you are in that peak of sensitivity, again your navel will not budge for any signal, any bio-memory which destabilizes you from enlightenment. Either you are Dakshinamurthy sitting at the feet of the banyan tree, sitting below the banyan tree in yoga mudra filled in silence or Kalabhairava who can digest anything but both are one and the same. I tell you, both are one and the same. There is no difference. Some fellows used to abuse Me saying that they want to see Shiva only as Dakshinamurthy, not as Aghori. I tell you, he is both, one and the same. This is exactly the principle of Kalabhairava.

(15:19)

Understand, very introduction to the Aghori sampradaya shivers ordinary human society because it starts with death. Where ordinary human civilization ends, there Aghori's life starts. I tell you, actually your life starts only when you die. Please understand, only after the physical maturity and you start your worldly life- marriage, making money, kids, you understand your life starts. If you ask a middle aged man when your life starts, naturally he will tell, “Yes, when I got married,” “When I started my business. That is where my life starts.” In the young age you don't understand when life starts. If you ask fourteen year old boy, he will think his life has started but only at the age of forty, he will realize his life has started only after he started making money and relationship and life. Same way, now if you ask a middle aged man, he will think his life has started but after getting matured if you ask the man who is already dead and lived two-three lives consciously, ask him when your life starts. Only he will be able to tell life starts after death.

(16:56)

Aghori is a man who has already died at least twice, died at least twice consciously. So his very introduction starts with the skull which he had in the last life. Most of the Aghoris when they come back they will be able to find where they left their past body, get that very same skull. It is like Tibetan Lamas coming back and getting the very same prayer wheel they used, the very same room they stayed and meditated, the very same monastery in which they lived and taught. Aghoris, when they come back, they search the place where they left their bodies, find out the very same skull they had in the last life. It is constantly reminding them. Please understand, when you had this skull working, seeing, tasting, listening, what all worries you had, how all those worries are useless for you now, the same way the worries you are having now with this skull functioning will be useless in the next time.

(18:19)

So any worry, suffering, pain which comes as a side effect of your skull functioning is useless in your life, powerless in your system, weightless in your consciousness. To remind you this great truth again and again and remind others this great truth again and again, Aghoris sit with their skull,

(18:52) to (25:12)

Program announcements their own past birth skull. Aghoris, by their very presence act as a last nightmare for people. Constantly they wake you up. Aghoris are the powerful whistleblowers. Understand, they are the whistleblowers of Maya constantly waking you up from Maya. They are not socially polite but I tell you, they are the most cosmically sweet people. If you are sleeping, in the dream, you feel like you are seeing the dream of a tiger, lion and a snake chasing you. You are running, running, running, about to jump into a water, into river and swim and escape but suddenly you see in the river there is a crocodile. You are screaming, “Help, help, help.” What will be the real help for you at that time? If somebody comes and gives you the rifle, will it be the real help?

(26:38)

That is what all these social service based religions are doing to you. You are screaming, “Life is bondage, life is suffering.” They come and tell you, “Oh my son, don't worry. We give you bread, butter, medical care.” Do you need a religion at that time which will give you some mantra, kriya, technique to drive this lion away after twelve years if you practice sincerely? That is what these foolish gurujis go on doing. Arey! At this moment you just need a person who will say, “Come on, wake up!” You will wake up, “Oh God! It was a dream!” You just need somebody to tell “Wake up!” You just need somebody who will blow a whistle and tell you, “Wake up!” You don't need socially polite, religious service organizations giving you bread, butter, care, love, education, medical care, finally ambulance service.

(28:02)

Aghoris are whistleblowers. Their skull is the whistle. You know only two kinds of people: social, anti-social. Aghoris are the most non-social but never antisocial. They are the ultimate whistleblowers. In India so much ruckus is going on, so much of fasting, dharna, fight is going on to protect the whistleblowers, about the corruption, about the mining, the social problems, the political problems but nobody understands. Aghoris are the cosmic whistleblowers. They need to be protected. Most endangered species on the planet earth is Aghoris. By their very presence they wake up people. People who don't want to wake up go on abusing the Aghoris.

(29:04)

I am here to present and represent Aghoris’ side of the stories. There is not a single case where Aghoris have done something illegal, anti-social. They are such blissful people living their life, never interfering with the society. They don't even come inside the city. They only eat what you rejected. They only live where you never go. They only wear what you have thrown out. They never interfere with your life but you go on abusing them. They don't even speak in the language you speak. Their very language wakes up people. It is a primal sound from swadhisthana which hits your very swadhisthana, which wakes you up. Whatever you call as Amangala, inauspicious is Mangala for them, auspicious.

(30:21) to (33:25)

Program announcements They are the most auspicious, powerful yogis. Never you will see a Aghori who is ill, never you will see an Aghori who is depressed, never you will see an Aghori physically ill or mentally ill. Never you will see an Aghori who is feeling he is poor. Never you will see an Aghori who is feeling he is not a leader.

(33:51)

You will always see a Vedantic sanyasis who are physically sick with a big tummies, can give only Ganesh darshan because in any other Bhava, your body won't fit. You will always see vedantis who are mentally sick, depressed. You will always see vedantis who feel they are slaves and they can't achieve but you will never see a Aghori who is physically fat, bellied or mentally depressed. They will neither have physical fat, mental depression consciously. Conscious sickness means feeling fate is everything. They neither have fat nor feel fate. They know their destination. They know their destiny. They know themselves. They are not just children of Mahadeva, they are sparks from the fire Mahadeva. I give you the secret of language of Aghoris. Any sound you create from the swadhisthana and do not interfere through your social politeness and release is the language of Aghoris and that sound awakens everybody’s swadhisthana and liberates people from fear. Understand, the sound created from swadhisthana which comes out unedited by your social politeness is the language of Aghoris which directly hits at your swadhisthana, awakes you from all the nightmares and fears.

(35:56)

In the West, they have something called primal therapy where you are asked to scream from the depth of your being, where all the stored up, suppressed fears are released. The very language of Aghoris is this. I don't know how many of you guys will be able to take it. I can give that true Aghori sound now. Har har har Mahadev Mahadev Har Har Shambho Mahadev Enough! Sound of Aghoris! The moment you hear, you wake up! Just for those few seconds, I left the socially polite identity with which I interact with you all and allowed the prana to come from the swadhisthana as it is. Actually I was preparing. My body was getting ready because during the Akashic reading, it is going to be from swadhisthana. There is not going be any socially polite personality interfering with My sound. It was getting ready.

(37:36)

I showed the exact form of Kalabhairava to one of My disciple, Atma Manishananda in Varanasi. Physically he saw in Kalabhairava temple. Show him the photograph of now which you took when I created that sound. He will be shocked and he will say this is exactly he saw. This is exactly the photograph he saw and within ten second it disappeared! I was standing in the Kalabhairava Sannidhi in Varanasi. I was in Samadhi. He asked Me, “Swamiji, can You show Kalabhairava how he looks?” I looked, showed him the wall and said, “Come on, see there.” He saw there was a beautiful photograph, painting. He said, “Is this the way he looks?” I said, “Exactly this is the way. It is his portrait as it is.” He was shocked! Maybe ten seconds after that he looked again. The portrait is missing. He went to that Mahant and that swami, pandari, pujari, pandit and asked, “What happened to the picture just now I saw, the portrait which was hanging in this wall?” He said, “What are you talking? We are here for thirty years. There was never a portrait or a painting on that wall. It was always a empty wall. You've gone mad.” They asked him. He came back. I only gave a smile. This is exactly the way he looked including the bindi on the forehead. Blessed are those whoever felt the vibration in their swadhisthana. Swadishtana where you suppress and fold and keep all the fears, that breaks when you hear the sound of Aghori, the sound from Aghori’s swadhisthana, the language of Aghoris.
